ਚੋਟਾਂ ਪਵਨ ਨਗਾਰੇ ਅਣੀਆਂ ਜੁਟੀਆਂ ॥

chottaan pavan nagaare aneean jutteean |

The drums are being beaten and the armies are engaged in close fight with each other.

ਧੂਹ ਲਈਆਂ ਤਰਵਾਰੀ ਦੇਵਾਂ ਦਾਨਵੀ ॥

dhooh leean taravaaree devaan daanavee |

The gods and demons have drawn their swords.

ਵਾਹਨ ਵਾਰੋ ਵਾਰੀ ਸੂਰੇ ਸੰਘਰੇ ॥

vaahan vaaro vaaree soore sanghare |

And strike them again and again killing warriors.

ਵਗੈ ਰਤੁ ਝੁਲਾਰੀ ਜਿਉ ਗੇਰੂ ਬਾਬਤ੍ਰਾ ॥

vagai rat jhulaaree jiau geroo baabatraa |

The blood flows like waterfall in the same manner as the red ochre colour is washed off from clothes.

ਦੇਖਨ ਬੈਠ ਅਟਾਰੀ ਨਾਰੀ ਰਾਕਸਾਂ ॥

dekhan baitth attaaree naaree raakasaan |

The ladies of demons see the fight, while sitting in their lofts.
