ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਦੋ ਪਰਮਾਤਮੁ ਦੇਖੈ ।

satigur darasan dekhado paramaatam dekhai |

He who beholds the true Guru has beholden the Lord.

ਸਬਦ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਲਿਵ ਲੀਣ ਹੋਇ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਗਤਿ ਲੇਖੈ ।

sabad surat liv leen hoe antar gat lekhai |

Putting his consciousness into the Word he concentrates upon his self.

ਚਰਨ ਕਵਲ ਦੀ ਵਾਸਨਾ ਹੋਇ ਚੰਦਨ ਭੇਖੈ ।

charan kaval dee vaasanaa hoe chandan bhekhai |

Enjoying the fragrance of the lotus feet of the Guru he transforms himself into sandal.

ਚਰਣੋਦਕ ਮਕਰੰਦ ਰਸ ਵਿਸਮਾਦੁ ਵਿਸੇਖੈ ।

charanodak makarand ras visamaad visekhai |

Tasting the nectar of the lotus feet he goes into a special wondrous state (of super consciousness).

ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਚਿਤੁ ਕਰਿ ਵਿਚਿ ਰੂਪ ਨ ਰੇਖੈ ।

guramat nihachal chit kar vich roop na rekhai |
