ਅਨੂਪ ਨਰਾਜ ਛੰਦ ॥

ANOOP NARAAJ STANZA

ਅਨੂਪ ਗਾਤ ਅਤਿਭੁਤੰ ਬਿਭੂਤ ਸੋਭਤੰ ਤਨੰ ॥

anoop gaat atibhutan bibhoot sobhatan tanan |

The bodies of the sages were marvelous and their magnificence were unique

ਅਛਿਜ ਤੇਜ ਜਾਜੁਲੰ ਅਨੰਤ ਮੋਹਤੰ ਮਨੰ ॥

achhij tej jaajulan anant mohatan manan |

Their luster was indestructible and they allured the innumerable minds

ਸਸੋਭ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਰੰਗਤੰ ਸੁਰੰਗ ਗੇਰੂ ਅੰਬਰੰ ॥

sasobh basatr rangatan surang geroo anbaran |

Their clothes were beautifully dyed in ochre colour

ਬਿਲੋਕ ਦੇਵ ਦਾਨਵੰ ਮਮੋਹ ਗੰਧ੍ਰਬੰ ਨਰੰ ॥੪੫੪॥

bilok dev daanavan mamoh gandhraban naran |454|

, Seeing which the gods and demons, men and Gnadharvas were all fascinated.454.

ਜਟਾ ਬਿਲੋਕਿ ਜਾਨਵੀ ਜਟੀ ਸਮਾਨ ਜਾਨਈ ॥

jattaa bilok jaanavee jattee samaan jaanee |

Seeing the matted locks of the sage, the Ganges was considering him as Shiva and

ਬਿਲੋਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਲੋਕਿਣੰ ਅਲੋਕਿ ਰੂਪ ਮਾਨਈ ॥

bilok lok lokinan alok roop maanee |

The beings of all the worlds accepted him as one containing supernatural elegance

ਬਜੰਤ ਚਾਰ ਕਿੰਕੁਰੀ ਭਜੰਤ ਭੂਤ ਭੈਧਰੀ ॥

bajant chaar kinkuree bhajant bhoot bhaidharee |

All the beings, in His fear, playing on the fiddle, were repeating His Name

ਪਪਾਤ ਜਛ ਕਿੰਨ੍ਰਨੀ ਮਮੋਹ ਮਾਨਨੀ ਮਨੰ ॥੪੫੫॥

papaat jachh kinranee mamoh maananee manan |455|

The Yaksha and Kinnar women were all getting allured.455.

ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਰਿ ਚਿਤ੍ਰਣੀ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਚਿਤ੍ਰਣੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੰ ॥

bachitr naar chitranee pavitr chitranan prabhan |

The beautiful Chitarni (a kind of women) women, getting pleased on that poure Lord,

ਰ ਰੀਝ ਜਛ ਗੰਧ੍ਰਬੰ ਸੁਰਾਰਿ ਨਾਰਿ ਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੰ ॥

r reejh jachh gandhraban suraar naar su prabhan |

The women of Yakshas, Gandharvas and gods, were remembering Him

ਕੜੰਤ ਕ੍ਰੂ ਕਿੰਨ੍ਰਣੀ ਹਸੰਤ ਹਾਸ ਕਾਮਿਣੀ ॥

karrant kraoo kinranee hasant haas kaaminee |

ਲਸੰਤ ਦੰਤਣੰ ਦੁਤੰ ਖਿਮੰਤ ਜਾਣੁ ਦਾਮਿਣੀ ॥੪੫੬॥

lasant dantanan dutan khimant jaan daaminee |456|

The evil Kinnar women were getting angry and other pretty ladies laughingly exhibited their teeth making the lightning shyful.456.

ਦਲੰਤ ਪਾਪ ਦੁਭਰੰ ਚਲੰਤ ਮੋਨਿ ਸਿੰਮਰੰ ॥

dalant paap dubharan chalant mon sinmaran |

Seeing him, the formidable sins were destroyed and the silent remembrance of the Lord was the natural outcome

ਸੁਭੰਤ ਭਾਰਗਵੰ ਪਟੰ ਬਿਅੰਤ ਤੇਜ ਉਫਣੰ ॥

subhant bhaaragavan pattan biant tej ufanan |

On their bodies, their garments were keeping under control the rising radiance

ਪਰੰਤ ਪਾਨਿ ਭੂਚਰੰ ਭ੍ਰਮੰਤ ਸਰਬਤੋ ਦਿਸੰ ॥

parant paan bhoocharan bhramant sarabato disan |

The beings of all the directions, wandering and coming there, were falling at his feet

ਤਜੰਤ ਪਾਪ ਨਰ ਬਰੰ ਚਲੰਤ ਧਰਮਣੋ ਮਗੰ ॥੪੫੭॥

tajant paap nar baran chalant dharamano magan |457|

All the beings forsaking their sins were following the path of Dharma on reaching there.457.

ਬਿਲੋਕਿ ਬੀਰਣੋ ਦਯੰ ਅਰੁਝ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਕਰਮਣੰ ॥

bilok beerano dayan arujh chhatr karamanan |

There he saw two kshatriya fighters absorbed in their actions of war

ਤਜੰਤਿ ਸਾਇਕੰ ਸਿਤੰ ਕਟੰਤ ਟੂਕ ਬਰਮਣੰ ॥

tajant saaeikan sitan kattant ttook baramanan |

The warriors were abandoning their bows and cutting the armours seeing that fighting

ਥਥੰਭ ਭਾਨਣੋ ਰਥੰ ਬਿਲੋਕਿ ਕਉਤਕੰ ਰਣੰ ॥

thathanbh bhaanano rathan bilok kautakan ranan |

ਗਿਰੰਤ ਜੁਧਣੋ ਛਿਤੰ ਬਮੰਤ ਸ੍ਰੋਣਤੰ ਮੁਖੰ ॥੪੫੮॥

girant judhano chhitan bamant sronatan mukhan |458|

The chariot of the sun stopped there and there the fighters falling on the earth, were throwing out blood from their mouths.458.

ਫਿਰੰਤ ਚਕ੍ਰਣੋ ਚਕੰ ਗਿਰੰਤ ਜੋਧਣੋ ਰਣੰ ॥

firant chakrano chakan girant jodhano ranan |

The discs were being discharged and the fighters were falling

ਉਠੰਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕੈ ਹਠੀ ਠਠੁਕਿ ਕ੍ਰੁਧਿਤੰ ਭੁਜੰ ॥

autthant krodh kai hatthee tthatthuk krudhitan bhujan |

The persistent warriors were again rising in anger

ਭ੍ਰਮੰਤ ਅਧ ਬਧਤੰ ਕਮਧ ਬਧਤੰ ਕਟੰ ॥

bhramant adh badhatan kamadh badhatan kattan |

ਪਰੰਤ ਭੂਤਲੰ ਭਟੰ ਬਕੰਤ ਮਾਰੂੜੈ ਰਟੰ ॥੪੫੯॥

parant bhootalan bhattan bakant maaroorrai rattan |459|

Having been cut into half in the form of headless trunks were wandering and those falling on the earth were shouting “kill, kill”.459.

ਪਿਪੰਤ ਅਸਵ ਭਟੰਤ ਭਿਰੰਤ ਦਾਰੁਣੋ ਰਣੰ ॥

pipant asav bhattant bhirant daaruno ranan |

The horses of the warriors were fighting in that dreadful war

ਬਹੰਤ ਤੀਛਣੋ ਸਰੰ ਝਲੰਤ ਝਾਲ ਖੜਿਗਿਣੰ ॥

bahant teechhano saran jhalant jhaal kharriginan |

The sharp arrows were being seen

ਉਠੰਤ ਮਾਰੂੜੋ ਰਣੰ ਬਕੰਤ ਮਾਰਣੋ ਮੁਖੰ ॥

autthant maaroorro ranan bakant maarano mukhan |

The fighters were rising with the shouts of “kill, kill”

ਚਲੰਤ ਭਾਜਿ ਨ ਹਠੀ ਜੁਝੰਤ ਦੁਧਰੰ ਰਣੰ ॥੪੬੦॥

chalant bhaaj na hatthee jujhant dudharan ranan |460|

And they were not running away from that battlefield with persistence.460.

ਕਟੰਤ ਕਾਰਮੰ ਸੁਭੰ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਚਿਤ੍ਰਤੰ ਕ੍ਰਿਤੰ ॥

kattant kaaraman subhan bachitr chitratan kritan |

ਸਿਲੇਣਿ ਉਜਲੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਤੰ ਬਹੰਤ ਸਾਇਕੰ ਸੁਭੰ ॥

silen ujalee kritan bahant saaeikan subhan |

All were cutting one another in a strange way and the white arrows like the slab were flowing (like a stream)

ਬਿਲੋਕਿ ਮੋਨਿਸੰ ਜੁਧੰ ਚਚਉਧ ਚਕ੍ਰਤੰ ਭਵੰ ॥

bilok monisan judhan chchaudh chakratan bhavan |

ਮਮੋਹ ਆਸ੍ਰਮੰ ਗਤੰ ਪਪਾਤ ਭੂਤਲੀ ਸਿਰੰ ॥੪੬੧॥

mamoh aasraman gatan papaat bhootalee siran |461|

Seeing that war the whole world was dazzled and wonder-struck and moving towards that hermitage, it was falling down upon the earth under the impact of attachment.461.

ਸਭਾਰ ਭਾਰਗ ਬਸਨਿਨੰ ਜਜਪਿ ਜਾਪਣੋ ਰਿਖੰ ॥

sabhaar bhaarag basaninan jajap jaapano rikhan |

ਨਿਹਾਰਿ ਪਾਨ ਪੈ ਪਰਾ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਬਾਇਸਵੋ ਗੁਰੰ ॥

nihaar paan pai paraa bichaar baaeisavo guran |

That woman, carrying her utensils on her head, was moving remembering her husband like a sage and the sag seeing her and falling at her feet adopted her as the twenty-second Guru

ਬਿਅੰਤ ਜੋਗਣੋ ਸਧੰ ਅਸੰਖ ਪਾਪਣੋ ਦਲੰ ॥

biant jogano sadhan asankh paapano dalan |

ਅਨੇਕ ਚੇਲਕਾ ਲਏ ਰਿਖੇਸ ਆਸਨੰ ਚਲੰ ॥੪੬੨॥

anek chelakaa le rikhes aasanan chalan |462|

That great sage, who had performed innumerable Yogic practices and destroying many sins, moved towards his abode.462.

ਇਤਿ ਹਰ ਬਾਹਤਾ ਬਾਈਸਵੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਭਾਤ ਲੈ ਆਈ ਸਮਾਪਤੰ ॥੨੨॥

eit har baahataa baaeesavo guroo isatree bhaat lai aaee samaapatan |22|

End of the description of the adoption of the Ploughman as the Twenty-second Guru, and his wife bringing the food.
