ਰਬੂਦ ਮਕਦਮਿ ਵਸਲਸ਼ ਜ਼ਿ ਮਨ ਇਨਾਨਿ ਫ਼ਿਰਾਕ ।

rabood makadam vasalash zi man inaan firaak |

Even though he, being a lowly person, becomes wise and sagacious. (183)

ਦਿਹੇਮ ਤਾ ਬਕੁਜਾ ਸ਼ਰਹਾ ਦਾਸਤਾਨਿ ਫ਼ਿਰਾਕ ।੪੯।੧।

dihem taa bakujaa sharahaa daasataan firaak |49|1|

When the enthusiasm of devotion for God becomes your supporter,

ਨ ਬੂਦ ਗ਼ੈਰਿ ਤੂ ਦਰ ਹਰ ਦੋ ਚਸ਼ਮੇ ਅਬਰੂਏਮ ।

n bood gair too dar har do chashame abarooem |

Then even a particle of dust desires to emulate (and becomes) a bright sun. (184)

ਨ ਯਾਫ਼ਤੇਮ ਦਰਾਣ ਜਾ ਦਿਗਰ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਿ ਫ਼ਿਰਾਕ ।੪੯।੨।

n yaafatem daraan jaa digar nishaan firaak |49|2|

When they talk, they shower (words of) the nectar of Truth,

ਹਨੂਜ਼ ਹਿਜਰ ਨਿਆਲੂਦਾ ਬੂਦ ਵਸਲਿ ਤੁਰਾ ।

hanooz hijar niaaloodaa bood vasal turaa |

With their glimpse, the eyes become more bright and soothed. (185)

ਸ਼ਨੀਦਾਇਮ ਸੁਖ਼ਨਿ ਵਸਲ ਅਜ਼ ਜ਼ਬਾਨਿ ਫ਼ਿਰਾਕ ।੪੯।੩।

shaneedaaeim sukhan vasal az zabaan firaak |49|3|

They keep meditating on the Naam of Waaheguru day and night;

ਚੁਨਾਣ ਜ਼ਿ ਹਿਜਰਤ ਆਤਿਸ਼ ਫ਼ਿਤਾਦਾ ਦਰ ਦਿਲਿ ਮਨ ।

chunaan zi hijarat aatish fitaadaa dar dil man |

Even in the worldly guise, living in this world, they become perfect human beings. (186)

ਕਿ ਬਰਕਿ ਨਾਲਾਇ ਮਨ ਸੋਖ਼ਤ ਖ਼ਾਨਿਮਾਨਿ ਫ਼ਿਰਾਕ ।੪੯।੪।

ki barak naalaae man sokhat khaanimaan firaak |49|4|

With everything around them, they are independent and are immune to the effects of these material distractions;

ਚਿ ਕਰਦਾ-ਸਤ ਫ਼ਿਰਾਕਿ ਤੂ ਬਰ ਸਰਿ ਗੋਯਾ ।

chi karadaasat firaak too bar sar goyaa |

They are always satisfied and pleased under the Will of Akaalpurakh. (187)

ਕਿ ਦਰ ਸ਼ੁਮਾਰ ਨਿਆਇਦ ਮਰਾ ਬਿਆਨਿ ਫ਼ਿਰਾਕ ।੪੯।੫।

ki dar shumaar niaaeid maraa biaan firaak |49|5|

Even they are dressed in worldly clothes, their tradition and practice is religious.
