ਦੀਦੀ ਆਖਿਰ ਤਾਲਿਬਿ ਮੌਲਾ ਰਹਿ ਮੌਲਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤ ।

deedee aakhir taalib maualaa reh maualaa grafat |

O Goyaa! Do not narrate the circumstances of Lailaa to any deranged mind,

ਹਾਸਲਿ ਉਮਰਿ ਗਿਰਾਮੀ ਰਾ ਅਜ਼ੀਣ ਦੁਨਿਆ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤ ।੧੩।੧।

haasal umar giraamee raa azeen duniaa grafat |13|1|

Because, I become insane just after listening to the tale of Majnoo. It is just apt for an insane (for Guru's love) like me. (21) (5)

ਹੀਚ ਕਸ ਬੀਤੂੰ ਨ ਬਾਸ਼ਦ ਅਜ਼ ਸਵਾਦਿ ਜ਼ੁਲਫ਼ਿ ਤੂ ।

heech kas beetoon na baashad az savaad zulaf too |

Addressing the Guru: People prostrate eighteen thousand times with their faces towards You

ਈਣ ਦਿਲਿ ਦੀਵਾਨਾ-ਅਮ ਆਖਿਰ ਹਮੀ ਸੌਦਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤ ।੧੩।੨।

een dil deevaanaam aakhir hamee sauadaa grafat |13|2|

And they circumambulate all the times the street of Your Kaabaa, the sacred place. (22) (1)

ਗ਼ੈਰਿ ਆਣ ਸਰਵਿ ਰਵਾਣ ਹਰਗਿਜ਼ ਨਿਆਇਦ ਦਰ ਨਜ਼ਰ ।

gair aan sarav ravaan haragiz niaaeid dar nazar |

Wherever they see, they see your (the Guru's) elegance and radiance,

ਤਾਣ ਕੱਦਿ ਰਾਅਨਾਇ ਊ ਦਰ ਦੀਦਾਇ-ਮਾ ਜਾ-ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤ ।੧੩।੩।

taan kad raanaae aoo dar deedaaemaa jaagrafat |13|3|

O Knower of the innermost feelings of their hearts! They see a glimpse of your face. (22) (2)

ਅਜ਼ ਨਿਦਾਏ ਨਾਕਾਇ ਲੈਲਾ ਦਿਲ ਸ਼ੋਰੀਦਾ ਆਮ ।

az nidaae naakaae lailaa dil shoreedaa aam |

They, the people, have sacrificed their lives for your handsome personality and grand stature,

ਹਮਚੂ ਮਜਨੂੰ ਮਸਤ ਗਸ਼ਤੋ ਰਹਿ ਸੂਇ ਸਹਰਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤ ।੧੩।੪।

hamachoo majanoo masat gashato reh sooe saharaa grafat |13|4|

And, with your redolence, they can revive the courage in (morally and physically) dead minds. (22) (3)

ਖੁਸ਼ ਨਮੀ ਆਇਦ ਮਰਾ ਗਾਹੇ ਬਗ਼ੈਰ ਅਜ਼ ਯਾਦਿ ਹੱਕ ।

khush namee aaeid maraa gaahe bagair az yaad hak |

O Guru! Your face is the mirror through which they can get Lord's glimpse,

ਤਾ ਹਦੀਸਿ ਇਸ਼ਕਿ ਊ ਅੰਦਰ ਦਿਲਮ ਮਾਵਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤ ।੧੩।੫।

taa hadees ishak aoo andar dilam maavaa grafat |13|5|

And, they do get His glimpse through the mirror of your face. Even the Garden of heaven is envious of this. (22) (4)

ਤਾ ਬਿਆਇ ਯੱਕ ਨਫ਼ਸ ਬਹਿਰਿ ਨਿਸਾਰਿ ਖਿਦਮਤਤ ।

taa biaae yak nafas bahir nisaar khidamatat |

The corrupt-minded-peolple who do not have the proper vision,

ਚਸ਼ਮਿ ਗੌਹਰ-ਬਾਰਿ ਮਾ ਖੁਸ਼ ਲੂਲੂਏ ਲਾਲਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤ ।੧੩।੬।

chasham gauaharabaar maa khush loolooe laalaa grafat |13|6|

take the liberty of putting the sun in front of your elegant face. (22) (5)

ਮੀ ਬਰ-ਆਇਦ ਜਾਨਿ ਮਨ ਇਮਰੂਜ਼ ਅਜ਼ ਰਾਹਿ ਦੋ ਚਸ਼ਮ ।

mee baraaeid jaan man imarooz az raeh do chasham |

In their exuberance for their love for your affection, they sacrifice thousands of the worlds.

ਨੌਬਤਿ ਦੀਦਾਰਿ ਊ ਤਾ ਵਾਅਦਾਦਿ ਫ਼ਰਦਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤ ।੧੩।੭।

nauabat deedaar aoo taa vaadaad faradaa grafat |13|7|

In fact, they sacrifice hundreds of lives just for one lock of your hair. (22) (6)

ਗ਼ੈਰਿ ਹਮਦਿ ਹੱਕ ਨਿਆਇਦ ਬਰ ਜ਼ਬਾਨਮ ਹੀਚ ਗਾਹ ।

gair hamad hak niaaeid bar zabaanam heech gaah |

When people talk of the notoriety and fame of your face,

ਹਾਸਲਿ ਈਣ ਉਮਰ ਰਾ ਆਖ਼ਰ ਦਿਲਿ ਗੋਯਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤ ।੧੩।੮।

haasal een umar raa aakhar dil goyaa grafat |13|8|

Then, in the garb of your refulgence, the whole world gets illuminated and fragrance floats around. (22) (7)
