Savaiyya

ਕ੍ਰੀੜਤ ਹੈ ਜਹਾ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਬਡੇ ਰਸ ਸਾਥ ਬਡੇ ਜਲ ਮਾਹੀ ॥

kreerrat hai jahaa kaanrah kumaar badde ras saath badde jal maahee |

In exhilaration Sri Krishna was bathing in the deep waters.

ਵਾਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਉਹਿ ਪਾਰ ਗੁਪਾਲ ਬਿਰਾਜਤ ਗ੍ਵਾਰਨਿ ਕੇ ਦਲ ਮਾਹੀ ॥

vaar triyaa uhi paar gupaal biraajat gvaaran ke dal maahee |

On one side were the ladies and Sri Krishna was seated on the other.

ਲੈ ਡੁਬਕੀ ਦੋਊ ਆਪਸ ਮੈ ਰਤਿ ਮਾਨਿ ਉਠੈ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ ਜਾਇ ਤਹਾ ਹੀ ॥

lai ddubakee doaoo aapas mai rat maan utthai drirr jaae tahaa hee |

(Soon) both (Sri Krishna and Radha) were together. They dived and loved each other,

ਯੌ ਰੁਚਿ ਮਾਨਿ ਰਮੈ ਰਸ ਸੋਂ ਮਨੋ ਦੂਰਿ ਰਹੇ ਕੋਊ ਜਾਨਤ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੨੮॥

yau ruch maan ramai ras son mano door rahe koaoo jaanat naahee |28|

Thinking that all the rest were away and none cared to look at them.(28)

ਖੇਲਤੀ ਲਾਲ ਸੋ ਬਾਲ ਭਲੀ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਾਹੂੰ ਸੋ ਬਾਤ ਨ ਭਾਖਤ ਜੀ ਕੀ ॥

khelatee laal so baal bhalee bidh kaahoon so baat na bhaakhat jee kee |

In deep love with Sri Krishna, Radha did not care to realise others reflections.

ਨੇਹ ਜਗਿਯੋ ਨਵ ਜੋਬਨ ਕੋ ਉਰ ਬੀਚ ਰਹੀ ਗਡਿ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਪੀ ਕੀ ॥

neh jagiyo nav joban ko ur beech rahee gadd moorat pee kee |

In the wake of youth, she was brimming with passion, and her lover’s image was getting carved in her heart.

ਬਾਰਿ ਬਿਹਾਰ ਮੈ ਨੰਦ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸੋ ਕ੍ਰੀੜਤ ਹੈ ਕਰਿ ਲਾਜ ਸਖੀ ਕੀ ॥

baar bihaar mai nand kumaar so kreerrat hai kar laaj sakhee kee |

Not to feel ashamed, in the presence of her friends, she kept loving Sri Krishna while remaining inside water.

ਜਾਇ ਉਠੈ ਬਲ ਤੌਨਹਿ ਤੇ ਰਤਿ ਮਾਨ ਦੋਊ ਮਨ ਮਾਨਤ ਜੀ ਕੀ ॥੨੯॥

jaae utthai bal tauaneh te rat maan doaoo man maanat jee kee |29|

And in the intensity of love she persisted there fully absorbed.(29)
