In the eyes of that ascetic who has absolutely no personal axe to grind,

ਹਰ ਆਣ ਕਿ ਮਮਲਕਤਿ ਦਿਲ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤ ਸੁਲਤਾਣ ਸ਼ੁਦ ।

har aan ki mamalakat dil grifat sulataan shud |

The kingdom of this world is nothing else but a confusing noise. (11) (4)

ਕਸੇ ਕਿ ਯਾਫ਼ਤ ਤੁਰਾ ਹਮਚੂ ਓ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਨੀਸਤ ।੭।੨।

kase ki yaafat turaa hamachoo o sipaahee neesat |7|2|

What kind of questions you want to ask to go through this desolate country (the world),

ਗਦਾਇ ਕੂਇ ਤੁਰਾ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹਿ ਹਰ ਦੋ ਸਰਾ-ਸਤ ।

ਅਸੀਰਿ ਖ਼ਤਿ ਤੁਰਾ ਹਾਜਤਿ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਨੀਸਤ ।੭।੩।

The couplets of Goyaa are capable to grant life like the divine nectar,

ਕੁਦਾਮ ਦੀਦਾ ਕਿ ਦਰ ਵੈ ਸਵਾਦਿ ਨੂਰਿ ਤੂ ਨੀਸਤ ।

kudaam deedaa ki dar vai savaad noor too neesat |

In fact, they are more effective in chastity than even the elixir of eternal life. (11) (6)

ਕੁਦਾਮ ਸੀਨਾ ਕਿ ਊ ਮਖ਼ਜ਼ਨਿ ਇਲਾਹੀ ਨੀਸਤ ।੭।੪।

kudaam seenaa ki aoo makhazan ilaahee neesat |7|4|

Tonight, Goyaa, the connoisseur of love, can go for a glimpse of beloved,

ਫ਼ਿਦਾਇ ਊ ਸ਼ੌ ਵ ਉਜਰੇ ਮਖਾਹ ਐ ਗੋਯਾ ।

fidaae aoo shau v ujare makhaah ai goyaa |

He can go to the annihilating murderer of the lovers. (metaphorically) (12) (1)
