ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਮਨਿ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ਹੈ ਪਿਰਮ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਅਜਰੁ ਜਰੰਦੇ ।

gurasikh man paragaas hai piram piaalaa ajar jarande |

The enlightened mind of the Sikhs drinks and digests the unbearable cup of the love of the Lord.

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪੂਰਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਬਿਬੇਕੀ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਧਰੰਦੇ ।

paarabraham pooran braham braham bibekee dhiaan dharande |

Armed with the knowledge of the Brahm, they meditate upon the transcendental Brahm.

ਸਬਦ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਲਿਵ ਲੀਣ ਹੋਇ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਣੰਦੇ ।

sabad surat liv leen hoe akath kathaa gur sabad sunande |

Merging their consciousness in the Word-sabad, they recite the indescribable story of the Word-the Guru.

ਭੂਤ ਭਵਿਖਹੁਂ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਅਬਿਗਤਿ ਗਤਿ ਅਤਿ ਅਲਖ ਲਖੰਦੇ ।

bhoot bhavikhahun varatamaan abigat gat at alakh lakhande |

They are competent to see incomprehensible pace of the past, present and future.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੁਖ ਫਲੁ ਅਛਲੁ ਛਲੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਕਰਿ ਅਛਲੁ ਛਲੰਦੇ ।

guramukh sukh fal achhal chhal bhagat vachhal kar achhal chhalande |

Never deluding fruit of joy, the gurmukhs get, and with grace of the God, kind to devotees, they rather delude the evil propensities.

ਭਵਜਲ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਬੋਹਿਥੈ ਇਕਸ ਪਿਛੇ ਲਖ ਤਰੰਦੇ ।

bhavajal andar bohithai ikas pichhe lakh tarande |

They work as a boat in the world-ocean and ferry across the millions who follow one gurmukh, the Guru-oriented person.

ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੀ ਮਿਲਨਿ ਹਸੰਦੇ ।੧੪।

The altruist Sikhs always come up smiling.
