ਏਕ ਸਮੈ ਜਸੁਧਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਗੋਪਿਨ ਖੀਰ ਮਥੇ ਕਰਿ ਲੈ ਕੈ ਮਧਾਨੀ ॥

ek samai jasudhaa sang gopin kheer mathe kar lai kai madhaanee |

Once Yashoda was churning the curd alongwith the gopis

ਊਪਰ ਕੋ ਕਟਿ ਸੌ ਕਸਿ ਕੈ ਪਟਰੋ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਨੀ ॥

aoopar ko katt sau kas kai pattaro man mai har jot samaanee |

She had tied her waist and she was meditating on Krishna

ਘੰਟਕਾ ਛੁਦ੍ਰ ਕਸੀ ਤਿਹ ਊਪਰਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਹੀ ਤਿਹ ਕੀ ਜੁ ਕਹਾਨੀ ॥

ghanttakaa chhudr kasee tih aoopar sayaam kahee tih kee ju kahaanee |

There were small bells tightened over the girdle

ਦਾਨ ਔ ਪ੍ਰਾਕ੍ਰਮ ਕੀ ਸੁਧਿ ਕੈ ਮੁਖ ਤੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸੁਭ ਗਾਵਤ ਬਾਨੀ ॥੧੩੮॥

daan aau praakram kee sudh kai mukh tai har kee subh gaavat baanee |138|

The poet Shyam says that the charity and the glory of austerity cannot be described the mother, in delight, is singing the songs about Krishna from her mouth.138.

ਖੀਰ ਭਰਿਯੋ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਕੁਚਿ ਤਉ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਫੁਨਿ ਜਾਗੇ ॥

kheer bhariyo jab hee tih ko kuch tau har jee tab hee fun jaage |

When the teats of mother Yashoda were filled with milk, then Krishna awoke

ਪਯ ਸੁ ਪਿਆਵਹੁ ਹੇ ਜਸੁਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜੀ ਇਹ ਹੀ ਰਸਿ ਮੈ ਅਨੁਰਾਗੇ ॥

pay su piaavahu he jasudaa prabh jee ih hee ras mai anuraage |

She began to give him milk and Krishna was absorbed in that pleasure

ਦੂਧ ਫਟਿਯੋ ਹੁਇ ਬਾਸਨ ਤੇ ਤਬ ਧਾਇ ਚਲੀ ਇਹ ਰੋਵਨ ਲਾਗੇ ॥

doodh fattiyo hue baasan te tab dhaae chalee ih rovan laage |

On the other side, the milk in the vessel turned sour, thinking about that vessel, the mother went to see it, then Krishna began to weep

ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਰਿਓ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਕੇ ਪਤਿ ਪੈ ਘਰਿ ਤੇ ਉਠਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਭਾਗੇ ॥੧੩੯॥

krodh kario man mai brij ke pat pai ghar te utth baahar bhaage |139|

He (the king of Braja) got so much angry that he ran out from the house.139.
