Dhanaasaree, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਸੀਤਲ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਛਾਤੀ ॥

simar simar suaamee prabh apanaa seetal tan man chhaatee |

Remembering, remembering God, the Lord Master in meditation, my body, mind and heart are cooled and soothed.

ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਸੂਖ ਧਨੁ ਜੀਅ ਕਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਮੋਰੈ ਜਾਤੀ ॥੧॥

roop rang sookh dhan jeea kaa paarabraham morai jaatee |1|

The Supreme Lord God is my beauty, pleasure, peace, wealth, soul and social status. ||1||

ਰਸਨਾ ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਨਿ ਮਾਤੀ ॥

rasanaa raam rasaaein maatee |

My tongue is intoxicated with the Lord, the source of nectar.

ਰੰਗ ਰੰਗੀ ਰਾਮ ਅਪਨੇ ਕੈ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਨਿਧਿ ਥਾਤੀ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

rang rangee raam apane kai charan kamal nidh thaatee | rahaau |

I am in love, in love with the Lord's lotus feet, the treasure of riches. ||Pause||

ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਸਾ ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਰਖਿ ਲੀਆ ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਭਾਤੀ ॥

jis kaa saa tin hee rakh leea pooran prabh kee bhaatee |

I am His - He has saved me; this is God's perfect way.

ਮੇਲਿ ਲੀਓ ਆਪੇ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖੀ ਪਾਤੀ ॥੨॥੧੨॥੪੩॥

mel leeo aape sukhadaatai naanak har raakhee paatee |2|12|43|

The Giver of peace has blended Nanak with Himself; the Lord has preserved his honor. ||2||12||43||
