ਗਉੜੀ ਭੀ ਸੋਰਠਿ ਭੀ ॥

Gauree And Also Sorat'h:

ਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਨਿਲਜ ਲਾਜ ਤੋੁਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ॥

re jeea nilaj laaj touhi naahee |

O shameless being, don't you feel ashamed?

ਹਰਿ ਤਜਿ ਕਤ ਕਾਹੂ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

har taj kat kaahoo ke jaanhee |1| rahaau |

You have forsaken the Lord - now where will you go? Unto whom will you turn? ||1||Pause||

ਜਾ ਕੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਊਚਾ ਹੋਈ ॥

jaa ko tthaakur aoochaa hoee |

One whose Lord and Master is the highest and most exalted

ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਪਰ ਘਰ ਜਾਤ ਨ ਸੋਹੀ ॥੧॥

so jan par ghar jaat na sohee |1|

- it is not proper for him to go to the house of another. ||1||

ਸੋ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥

so saahib rahiaa bharapoor |

That Lord and Master is pervading everywhere.

ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ॥੨॥

sadaa sang naahee har door |2|

The Lord is always with us; He is never far away. ||2||

ਕਵਲਾ ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨ ਹੈ ਜਾ ਕੇ ॥

kavalaa charan saran hai jaa ke |

Even Maya takes to the Sanctuary of His Lotus Feet.

ਕਹੁ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਘਰ ਤਾ ਕੇ ॥੩॥

kahu jan kaa naahee ghar taa ke |3|

Tell me, what is there which is not in His home? ||3||

ਸਭੁ ਕੋਊ ਕਹੈ ਜਾਸੁ ਕੀ ਬਾਤਾ ॥

sabh koaoo kahai jaas kee baataa |

Everyone speaks of Him; He is All-powerful.

ਸੋ ਸੰਮ੍ਰਥੁ ਨਿਜ ਪਤਿ ਹੈ ਦਾਤਾ ॥੪॥

so samrath nij pat hai daataa |4|

He is His Own Master; He is the Giver. ||4||

ਕਹੈ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਪੂਰਨ ਜਗ ਸੋਈ ॥

kahai kabeer pooran jag soee |

Says Kabeer, he alone is perfect in this world,

ਜਾ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥੫॥੩੮॥

jaa ke hiradai avar na hoee |5|38|

in whose heart there is none other than the Lord. ||5||38||
