ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਾਚ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਜੂ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ॥

Speech of Brahma addressed to Krishna:

ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

SWAYYA

ਹੇ ਕਰੁਣਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਹੇ ਜਗ ਕੇ ਪਤਿ ਅਚੁਤ ਹੇ ਬਿਨਤੀ ਸੁਨ ਲੀਜੈ ॥

he karunaa nidh he jag ke pat achut he binatee sun leejai |

“O Lord of the world! Treasure of Mercy! Immortal Lord! Listen to my request

ਚੂਕ ਭਈ ਹਮ ਤੇ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਤਿਹ ਤੇ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਛਿਮਾਪਨ ਕੀਜੈ ॥

chook bhee ham te tumaree tih te aparaadh chhimaapan keejai |

I have erred, kindly forgive me for this fault”

ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕਹੀ ਇਹ ਬਾਤ ਛਿਮੀ ਹਮ ਨ ਬਿਖ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਛਾਡਿ ਕੈ ਪੀਜੈ ॥

kaanrah kahee ih baat chhimee ham na bikh amrit chhaadd kai peejai |

Krishna said, “I have forgiven, but abandoning the nectary, the poison should not be taken

ਲਿਆਉ ਕਹਿਓਨ ਲਿਆਇ ਹੋਂ ਜਾਹ ਸਿਤਾਬ ਅਈਯੋ ਨਹੀ ਢੀਲ ਕਰੀਜੈ ॥੧੮੬॥

liaau kahion liaae hon jaah sitaab aeeyo nahee dteel kareejai |186|

Go and bring all the men and animals without delay.”186.

ਲੈ ਬਛਰੈ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਛਿਨ ਮੈ ਚਲ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਪਹਿ ਆਯੋ ॥

lai bachharai brahamaa tab hee chhin mai chal kai har jee peh aayo |

Brahma brought all the calves and gopas in an instant

ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਮਿਲੇ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਗ੍ਵਾਰ ਤਬੈ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਤਿਨ ਹੰਰ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਯੋ ॥

kaanrah mile jab hee sabh gvaar tabai man mai tin hanr sukh paayo |

When all the gopa boys met Krishna, all were greatly pleased

ਲੋਪ ਭਯੋ ਸੰਗਿ ਕੇ ਬਛਰੇ ਤਬ ਭੇਦ ਕਿਨੀ ਲਖਿ ਜਾਨ ਨ ਪਾਯੋ ॥

lop bhayo sang ke bachhare tab bhed kinee lakh jaan na paayo |

With this, al the calves made by the maya of Krishna, disappeared, but none could know this mystery

ਬਾਲ ਬੁਝੀ ਨ ਕਿਨੀ ਉਠਿ ਬੋਲਿ ਸੁ ਲਿਆਉ ਵਹੈ ਹਮ ਜੋ ਮਿਲਿ ਖਾਯੋ ॥੧੮੭॥

baal bujhee na kinee utth bol su liaau vahai ham jo mil khaayo |187|

Whatever you have brought, we all may eat it together.”187.

ਹੋਇ ਇਕਤ੍ਰ ਕਿਧੋ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਬਾਲਕ ਅੰਨ ਅਚਿਯੋ ਸਭਨੋ ਜੁ ਪੁਰਾਨੋ ॥

hoe ikatr kidho brij baalak an achiyo sabhano ju puraano |

The boys of Braja gathered together all the old food and began to eat it

ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਕਹੀ ਹਮ ਨਾਗ ਹਨ︀ਯੋ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਇਹ ਖੇਲ ਕਿਨੀ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਨੋ ॥

kaanrah kahee ham naag hanayo har ko ih khel kinee neh jaano |

Krishna said, “I have killed the Naga (serpent), but none could know about this play

ਹੋਇ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਮਹਾ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਗਰੜਾਧੁਜ ਕੋ ਕਰਿ ਰਛਕ ਮਾਨੋ ॥

hoe prasan mahaa man mai gararraadhuj ko kar rachhak maano |

They were all pleased considering the garuda (blue jay) as their protector

ਦਾਨ ਦਯੋ ਹਮ ਕੋ ਜੀਅ ਕੋ ਇਹ ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਪਹਿ ਜਾਇ ਬਖਾਨੋ ॥੧੮੮॥

daan dayo ham ko jeea ko ih maat pitaa peh jaae bakhaano |188|

And Krishna said, “You may tell this at your home that Lord has protected our life.”188.

ਇਤਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਛਰੇ ਆਨ ਪਾਇ ਪਰਾ ॥

eit brahamaa bachhare aan paae paraa |
