ਐਸਹਿ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਰਸ ਹੀ ਬੀਤੇ ॥

aiseh bahut baras hee beete |

ਬੈਰੀ ਅਧਿਕ ਆਪਨੇ ਜੀਤੇ ॥

bairee adhik aapane jeete |

Years passed by thus, and she won over many enemies.

ਏਕ ਪੁਰਖ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਲਖਿ ਪਾਯੋ ॥

After nine months, she gave birth to a son, who looked like the Cupid.

ਏਕ ਨਾਰਿ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਮੈ ਧਰਿਯੋ ॥

ek naar ke ghar mai dhariyo |

ਤਾ ਕੋ ਧਾਮ ਦਰਬੁ ਸੋ ਭਰਿਯੋ ॥੬॥

She left him at the house of a lady-friend and gave her lot of wealth.(6)

ਯੋ ਕਹਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਈ ਘਰ ਮਾਹੀ ॥

Reprimanding her not to divulge this to anyone, she returned.

ਦੁਤਿਯ ਕਾਨ ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਨਾ ॥

dutiy kaan kinahoon neh jaanaa |
