Goojaree, Fifth Mehl:

ਅਪਜਸੁ ਮਿਟੈ ਹੋਵੈ ਜਗਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਬੈਸਣੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥

apajas mittai hovai jag keerat daragah baisan paaeeai |

His bad reputation is erased, he is acclaimed all over the world, and he obtains a seat in the Court of the Lord.

ਜਮ ਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਨਾਸ ਹੋਇ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਸੁਖ ਅਨਦ ਸੇਤੀ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਈਐ ॥੧॥

jam kee traas naas hoe khin meh sukh anad setee ghar jaaeeai |1|

The fear of death is removed in an instant, and he goes to the Lord's House in peace and bliss. ||1||

ਜਾ ਤੇ ਘਾਲ ਨ ਬਿਰਥੀ ਜਾਈਐ ॥

jaa te ghaal na birathee jaaeeai |

His works do not go in vain.

ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

aatth pehar simarahu prabh apanaa man tan sadaa dhiaaeeai |1| rahaau |

Twenty-four hours a day, remember your God in meditation; meditate on Him continually in your mind and body. ||1||Pause||

ਮੋਹਿ ਸਰਨਿ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਈਐ ॥

mohi saran deen dukh bhanjan toon dehi soee prabh paaeeai |

I seek Your Sanctuary, O Destroyer of the pains of the poor; whatever You give me, God, that is what I receive.

ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਦਾਸਹ ਪੈਜ ਰਖਾਈਐ ॥੨॥੧੩॥੨੨॥

charan kamal naanak rang raate har daasah paij rakhaaeeai |2|13|22|

Nanak is imbued with the love of Your lotus feet; O Lord, please preserve the honor of Your slave. ||2||13||22||
