Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਭਾਹਿ ਨ ਜਲੈ ॥

har sang raate bhaeh na jalai |

One who is attuned to the Lord, shall not be burned in the fire.

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਨਹੀ ਛਲੈ ॥

har sang raate maaeaa nahee chhalai |

One who is attuned to the Lord, shall not be enticed by Maya.

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਨਹੀ ਡੂਬੈ ਜਲਾ ॥

har sang raate nahee ddoobai jalaa |

One who is attuned to the Lord, shall not be drowned in water.

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਸੁਫਲ ਫਲਾ ॥੧॥

har sang raate sufal falaa |1|

One who is attuned to the Lord, is prosperous and fruitful. ||1||

ਸਭ ਭੈ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੈ ਨਾਇ ॥

sabh bhai mitteh tumaarai naae |

All fear is eradicated by Your Name.

ਭੇਟਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

bhettat sang har har gun gaae | rahaau |

Joining the Sangat, the Holy Congregation, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har. ||Pause||

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਮਿਟੈ ਸਭ ਚਿੰਤਾ ॥

har sang raate mittai sabh chintaa |

One who is attuned to the Lord, is free of all anxieties.

ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਸੋ ਰਚੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਸਾਧ ਕਾ ਮੰਤਾ ॥

har siau so rachai jis saadh kaa mantaa |

One who is attuned to the Lord, is blessed with the Mantra of the Holy.

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਨਹੀ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ॥

har sang raate jam kee nahee traas |

One who is attuned to the Lord, is not haunted by the fear of death.

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸ ॥੨॥

har sang raate pooran aas |2|

One who is attuned to the Lord, sees all his hopes fulfilled. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ॥

har sang raate dookh na laagai |

One who is attuned to the Lord, does not suffer in pain.

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਾਗੈ ॥

har sang raataa anadin jaagai |

One who is attuned to the Lord, remains awake and aware, night and day.

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ਸਹਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਸੈ ॥

har sang raataa sehaj ghar vasai |

One who is attuned to the Lord, dwells in the home of intuitive peace.

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਭਉ ਨਸੈ ॥੩॥

har sang raate bhram bhau nasai |3|

One who is attuned to the Lord, sees his doubts and fears run away. ||3||

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਮਤਿ ਊਤਮ ਹੋਇ ॥

har sang raate mat aootam hoe |

One who is attuned to the Lord, has the most sublime and exalted intellect.

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੋਇ ॥

har sang raate niramal soe |

One who is attuned to the Lord, has a pure and spotless reputation.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ॥

kahu naanak tin kau bal jaaee |

Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to those,

ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੪॥੧੦੯॥

jin kau prabh meraa bisarat naahee |4|109|

Who do not forget my God. ||4||109||
