ਦੇਉ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਿਕਰੈ ਨਹਿ ਚੀਰ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਹਸਿ ਕਾਨ੍ਰਹ ਸੁਨੋ ਤੁਮ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥

deo binaa nikarai neh cheer kahiyo has kaanrah suno tum piaaree |

“O dear ones! I shall not give back the clothes without you getting out of water

ਸੀਤ ਸਹੋ ਜਲ ਮੈ ਤੁਮ ਨਾਹਕ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਆਵਹੋ ਗੋਰੀ ਅਉ ਕਾਰੀ ॥

seet saho jal mai tum naahak baahar aavaho goree aau kaaree |

You are uselessly enduring cold in the water

ਦੇ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਅਗੂਆ ਪਿਛੂਆ ਕਰ ਬਾਰਿ ਤਜੋ ਪਤਲੀ ਅਰੁ ਭਾਰੀ ॥

de apune agooaa pichhooaa kar baar tajo patalee ar bhaaree |

“O white, black, slim and heavy gopis! why are you coming out keeping your hands in front and at the back?

ਯੌ ਨਹਿ ਦੇਉ ਕਹਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਤਸਲੀਮ ਕਰੋ ਕਰ ਜੋਰਿ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੨੫੫॥

yau neh deo kahio har jee tasaleem karo kar jor hamaaree |255|

You ask with folded hands, otherwise, I shall not give you clothes.”255.

ਫੇਰਿ ਕਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਜੀ ਤਿਨ ਸੋ ਰਿਝ ਕੈ ਇਹ ਬਾਤ ਸੁਨੋ ਤੁਮ ਮੇਰੀ ॥

fer kahee har jee tin so rijh kai ih baat suno tum meree |

Then Krishna said in slight anger, “Listen to my words, forsake your shyness,

ਜੋਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ਕਰੋ ਹਮਰੋ ਕਰ ਲਾਜ ਕੀ ਕਾਟਿ ਸਭੈ ਤੁਮ ਬੇਰੀ ॥

jor pranaam karo hamaro kar laaj kee kaatt sabhai tum beree |

Come out of water and bow before me with folded hands

ਬਾਰ ਹੀ ਬਾਰ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਤੁਮ ਸੋ ਮੁਹਿ ਮਾਨਹੁ ਸੀਘ੍ਰ ਕਿਧੋ ਇਹ ਹੇ ਰੀ ॥

baar hee baar kahiyo tum so muhi maanahu seeghr kidho ih he ree |

“I am telling you again and again to accept whatever I say quickly, otherwise I shall go and tell everybody

ਨਾਤੁਰ ਜਾਇ ਕਹੋ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਪਹਿ ਸਉਹ ਲਗੈ ਫੁਨਿ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੇਰੀ ॥੨੫੬॥

naatur jaae kaho sabh hee peh sauh lagai fun tthaakur keree |256|

I am swearing by my Lord accept whatever I say.”256.
