ਗੁਰ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਜਾਣਿ ਸਰਣੀ ਆਇਆ ।

gur paramesar jaan saranee aaeaa |

Those who, accepting Guru as God have sought shelter in the Lord.

ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇ ਨ ਚਲੈ ਚਲਾਇਆ ।

gur charanee chit laae na chalai chalaaeaa |

Those who have put their heart at the feet of Lord, never become perishable.

ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਜ ਪਦ ਪਾਇਆ ।

guramat nihachal hoe nij pad paaeaa |

They, getting deeply rooted in the wisdom of Guru, attain themselves.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਇ ਭਾਣਾ ਭਾਇਆ ।

guramukh kaar kamaae bhaanaa bhaaeaa |

They adopt the daily routine of the Gurmukhs, and Gods Will becomes dear to them.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ।

guramukh aap gavaae sach samaaeaa |

As Gurmukhs, losing their ego, they merge in the truth.

ਸਫਲੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਜਗਿ ਆਇ ਜਗਤੁ ਤਰਾਇਆ ।੨੧।੨੦। ਵੀਹ ।
