Fourth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਤੂਹੈ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਭਸ ਦਾ ਸਭਿ ਜੀਅ ਤੁਮੑਾਰੇ ॥

har toohai daataa sabhas daa sabh jeea tumaare |

Lord, You are the Great Giver of all; all beings are Yours.

ਸਭਿ ਤੁਧੈ ਨੋ ਆਰਾਧਦੇ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥

sabh tudhai no aaraadhade daan dehi piaare |

They all worship You in adoration; You bless them with Your Bounty, O Beloved.

ਹਰਿ ਦਾਤੈ ਦਾਤਾਰਿ ਹਥੁ ਕਢਿਆ ਮੀਹੁ ਵੁਠਾ ਸੈਸਾਰੇ ॥

har daatai daataar hath kadtiaa meehu vutthaa saisaare |

The Generous Lord, the Great Giver reaches out with His Hands, and the rain pours down on the world.

ਅੰਨੁ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਖੇਤੀ ਭਾਉ ਕਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮੑਾਰੇ ॥

an jamiaa khetee bhaau kar har naam samaare |

The corn germinates in the fields; contemplate the Lord's Name with love.

ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਮੰਗੈ ਦਾਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੇ ॥੨॥

jan naanak mangai daan prabh har naam adhaare |2|

Servant Nanak begs for the Gift of the Support of the Name of his Lord God. ||2||
