ਸਲੋਕ ਮਃ ੩ ॥

Salok, Third Mehl:

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਜਿਸੁ ਵਸਿ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੋਇ ॥

naanak so saalaaheeai jis vas sabh kichh hoe |

O Nanak, praise the Lord; everything is in His power.

ਤਿਸੈ ਸਰੇਵਿਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਹੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥

tisai sarevihu praaneeho tis bin avar na koe |

Serve Him, O mortal beings; there is none other than Him.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਾਂ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥

guramukh har prabh man vasai taan sadaa sadaa sukh hoe |

The Lord God abides within the mind of the Gurmukh, and then he is at peace, forever and ever.

ਸਹਸਾ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਸਭ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਜਾਇ ॥

sahasaa mool na hovee sabh chintaa vichahu jaae |

He is never cynical; all anxiety has been taken out from within him.

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਸਹਜੇ ਹੋਇ ਕਹਣਾ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥

jo kichh hoe su sahaje hoe kahanaa kichhoo na jaae |

Whatever happens, happens naturally; no one has any say about it.

ਸਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਤਾਂ ਮਨਿ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇ ॥

sachaa saahib man vasai taan man chindiaa fal paae |

When the True Lord abides in the mind, then the mind's desires are fulfilled.

ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਆਖਿਆ ਆਪਿ ਸੁਣੇ ਜਿ ਲਇਅਨੁ ਪੰਨੈ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥

naanak tin kaa aakhiaa aap sune ji leian panai paae |1|

O Nanak, He Himself hears the words of those, whose accounts are in His Hands. ||1||
