ਜਬ ਹੀ ਕਰਿ ਕੋ ਅਸਿ ਕਾਟਿ ਦਯੋ ਭਟ ਜੇਊ ਭਜੇ ਹੁਤੇ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਧਾਏ ॥

jab hee kar ko as kaatt dayo bhatt jeaoo bhaje hute te sabh dhaae |

When he chopped the warrior huge like elephant with his sword, then all other warriors who were there, fell upon him

ਆਯੁਧ ਲੈ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਰਿ ਚਿਤ ਬਿਖੈ ਅਤਿ ਕੋਪੁ ਬਢਾਏ ॥

aayudh lai apune apune kar chit bikhai at kop badtaae |

They had got enraged taking their weapons in their hands

ਬੀਰ ਬਨੈਤ ਬਨੇ ਸਿਗਰੇ ਤਿਮ ਕੇ ਗੁਨ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਬੀਸਰ ਗਾਏ ॥

ਮਾਨਹੁ ਭੂਪ ਸੁਅੰਬਰ ਜੁਧੁ ਰਚਿਓ ਭਟ ਏਨ ਬਡੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਆਏ ॥੧੪੨੭॥

They were the praiseworthy warriors and appeared to have gathered as other kings gathered in the ceremony of swayamvara performed by a king.1427.

ਜੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸਾਮੁਹੇ ਆਇ ਭਿਰੇ ਅਰਿ ਬਾਨਨ ਸੋ ਸੋਈ ਮਾਰਿ ਲਏ ਹੈ ॥

je nrip saamuhe aae bhire ar baanan so soee maar le hai |

All the enemies who came in front of the king, he knocked them down with his arrows

ਕੇਤਕਿ ਜੋਰਿ ਭਿਰੇ ਹਠਿ ਕੈ ਕਿਤਨੇ ਰਨ ਕੋ ਲਖਿ ਭਾਜਿ ਗਏ ਹੈ ॥

There were many who fought persistently, but there were also many who ran away

ਕੇਤਕਿ ਹੋਇ ਇਕਤ੍ਰ ਰਹੇ ਜਸੁ ਤਾ ਛਬਿ ਕੋ ਕਬਿ ਚੀਨ ਲਏ ਹੈ ॥

ਮਾਨਹੁ ਆਗ ਲਗੀ ਬਨ ਮੈ ਮਦਮਤ ਕਰੀ ਇਕ ਠਉਰ ਭਏ ਹੈ ॥੧੪੨੮॥

maanahu aag lagee ban mai madamat karee ik tthaur bhe hai |1428|

Many kings had gathered at one place and appeared like the intoxicated elephant gathered together at one place in the event of the forest-fire.1428.

ਬੀਰ ਘਨੇ ਰਨ ਮਾਝ ਹਨੇ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਰੰਚਕ ਕੋਪ ਭਰਿਓ ਹੈ ॥

Killing many warriors in the battlefield, the king Kharag Singh became somewhat furious

ਬਾਜ ਕਰੀ ਰਥ ਕਾਟਿ ਦਏ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਕਰ ਮੈ ਕਰਵਾਰ ਧਰਿਓ ਹੈ ॥

baaj karee rath kaatt de jab hee kar mai karavaar dhario hai |

As soon as he caught hold of the sword he knocked down visibly many elephants, horses and chariots

ਪੇਖ ਕੈ ਸਤ੍ਰ ਇਕਤ੍ਰ ਭਏ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਮਾਰਬੇ ਕੋ ਤਿਨ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਕਰਿਓ ਹੈ ॥

pekh kai satr ikatr bhe nrip maarabe ko tin mantr kario hai |

Seeing him the enemies gathered and began to think of killing him

ਕੇਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਬਧ ਜਿਉ ਚਿਤਵੈ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਸੋ ਤੋ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਕਬਹੂੰ ਨ ਡਰਿਓ ਹੈ ॥੧੪੨੯॥

kehar ko badh jiau chitavai mrig so to brithaa kabahoon na ddario hai |1429|

It appeared like the deer gathered together in order to kill the lion and the lion remained standing fearlessly.1429.

ਭੂਪ ਬਲੀ ਬਹੁਰੋ ਰਿਸ ਕੈ ਜਬ ਹਾਥਨ ਮੈ ਹਥਿਯਾਰ ਗਹੇ ਹੈ ॥

bhoop balee bahuro ris kai jab haathan mai hathiyaar gahe hai |

ਸੂਰ ਹਨੇ ਬਲਬੰਡ ਘਨੇ ਕਬਿ ਰਾਮ ਭਨੈ ਚਿਤ ਮੈ ਜੁ ਚਹੇ ਹੈ ॥

soor hane balabandd ghane kab raam bhanai chit mai ju chahe hai |

When the mighty king, in his anger, taking his weapons in his hand, killed the warriors according to his heart’s desire

ਸੀਸ ਪਰੇ ਕਟਿ ਬੀਰਨ ਕੇ ਧਰਨੀ ਖੜਗੇਸ ਸੁ ਸੀਸ ਛਹੇ ਹੈ ॥

ਮਾਨਹੁ ਸ੍ਰਉਨ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਮੈ ਸਿਰ ਸਤ੍ਰਨ ਕੰਜ ਸੇ ਮੂੰਦ ਰਹੇ ਹੈ ॥੧੪੩੦॥

maanahu sraun sarovar mai sir satran kanj se moond rahe hai |1430|

The heads of the warriors are being torn with the blows of Kharag Singh like the lotus-heats of the enemy torn in the tank of blood.1430.
