Bhairao, Fifth Mehl:

ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥

karan kaaran samarath gur meraa |

My Guru is the All-powerful Lord, the Creator, the Cause of causes.

ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਨੇਰਾ ॥

jeea praan sukhadaataa neraa |

He is the Soul, the Breath of Life, the Giver of Peace, always near.

ਭੈ ਭੰਜਨ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਰਾਇ ॥

bhai bhanjan abinaasee raae |

He is the Destroyer of fear, the Eternal, Unchanging, Sovereign Lord King.

ਦਰਸਨਿ ਦੇਖਿਐ ਸਭੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥

darasan dekhiai sabh dukh jaae |1|

Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, all fear is dispelled. ||1||

ਜਤ ਕਤ ਪੇਖਉ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾ ॥

jat kat pekhau teree saranaa |

Wherever I look, is the Protection of Your Sanctuary.

ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਣਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

bal bal jaaee satigur charanaa |1| rahaau |

I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to the Feet of the True Guru. ||1||Pause||

ਪੂਰਨ ਕਾਮ ਮਿਲੇ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥

pooran kaam mile guradev |

My tasks are perfectly accomplished, meeting the Divine Guru.

ਸਭਿ ਫਲਦਾਤਾ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੇਵ ॥

sabh faladaataa niramal sev |

He is the Giver of all rewards. Serving Him, I am immaculate.

ਕਰੁ ਗਹਿ ਲੀਨੇ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਦਾਸ ॥

kar geh leene apune daas |

He reaches out with His Hand to His slaves.

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦ ਦੀਓ ਨਿਵਾਸ ॥੨॥

raam naam rid deeo nivaas |2|

The Name of the Lord abides in their hearts. ||2||

ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਸੋਗੁ ॥

sadaa anand naahee kichh sog |

They are forever in bliss, and do not suffer at all.

ਦੂਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਨਹ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਰੋਗੁ ॥

dookh darad neh biaapai rog |

No pain, sorrow or disease afflicts them.

ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂ ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰੁ ॥

sabh kichh teraa too karanaihaar |

Everything is Yours, O Creator Lord.

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗੁਰ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰ ॥੩॥

paarabraham gur agam apaar |3|

The Guru is the Supreme Lord God, the Inaccessible and Infinite. ||3||

ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੋਭਾ ਅਚਰਜ ਬਾਣੀ ॥

niramal sobhaa acharaj baanee |

His Glorious Grandeur is immaculate, and the Bani of His Word is wonderful!

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪੂਰਨ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣੀ ॥

paarabraham pooran man bhaanee |

The Perfect Supreme Lord God is pleasing to my mind.

ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਸੋਇ ॥

jal thal maheeal raviaa soe |

He is permeating the waters, the lands and the skies.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇ ਹੋਇ ॥੪॥੩੪॥੪੭॥

naanak sabh kichh prabh te hoe |4|34|47|

O Nanak, everything comes from God. ||4||34||47||
