ਰੁਖਾਂ ਵਿਚਿ ਕੁਰੁਖ ਹਨਿ ਦੋਵੈਂ ਅਰੰਡ ਕਨੇਰ ਦੁਆਲੇ ।

rukhaan vich kurukh han dovain arandd kaner duaale |

Worse among the trees, castor and oleander plants appear all around.

ਅਰੰਡੁ ਫਲੈ ਅਰਡੋਲੀਆਂ ਫਲ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਬੀਅ ਚਿਤਮਿਤਾਲੇ ।

ਨਿਬਹੈ ਨਾਹੀਂ ਨਿਜੜਾ ਹਰਵਰਿ ਆਈ ਹੋਇ ਉਚਾਲੇ ।

nibahai naaheen nijarraa haravar aaee hoe uchaale |

ਕਲੀਆਂ ਪਵਨਿ ਕਨੇਰ ਨੋਂ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਵਿਚਿ ਦੁਰੰਗ ਦਿਖਾਲੇ ।

kaleean pavan kaner non duramat vich durang dikhaale |

On oleander plants grow buds which like evil sense scatter foul smell all around.

ਬਾਹਰੁ ਲਾਲੁ ਗੁਲਾਲੁ ਹੋਇ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਚਿਟਾ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਨਾਲੇ ।

baahar laal gulaal hoe andar chittaa dubidhaa naale |
