Todee, Fifth Mehl:

ਮਾਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥

maaee mere man kee preet |

O my mother, my mind is in love.

ਏਹੀ ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਜਪ ਏਹੀ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੈ ਰੀਤਿ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ehee karam dharam jap ehee raam naam niramal hai reet | rahaau |

This is my karma and my Dharma; this is my meditation. The Lord's Name is my immaculate, unstained way of life. ||Pause||

ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਧਨ ਮੋਰੈ ਦੇਖਨ ਕਉ ਦਰਸਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨੀਤਿ ॥

praan adhaar jeevan dhan morai dekhan kau darasan prabh neet |

The Support of my breath of life, the wealth of my life, is to gaze upon the Blessed Vision of God's Darshan.

ਬਾਟ ਘਾਟ ਤੋਸਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਮੋਰੈ ਮਨ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਉ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਖਾ ਕੀਤ ॥੧॥

baatt ghaatt tosaa sang morai man apune kau mai har sakhaa keet |1|

On the road, and on the river, these supplies are always with me. I have made my mind the Lord's companion. ||1||

ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਭਏ ਮਨ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਰਿ ਲੀਤ ॥

sant prasaad bhe man niramal kar kirapaa apune kar leet |

By the Grace of the Saints, my mind has become immaculate and pure. In His mercy, He has made me His own.

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਭਗਤਨ ਕੇ ਮੀਤ ॥੨॥੨॥੨੧॥

simar simar naanak sukh paaeaa aad jugaad bhagatan ke meet |2|2|21|

Remembering, remembering Him in meditation, Nanak has found peace. From the very beginning, and throughout the ages, He is the friend of His devotees. ||2||2||21||
