Aasaa:

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਿ ਚੀਨੑਸੀ ਆਸਾ ਤੇ ਨ ਭਾਵਸੀ ॥

paarabraham ji cheenasee aasaa te na bhaavasee |

One who recognizes the Supreme Lord God, dislikes other desires.

ਰਾਮਾ ਭਗਤਹ ਚੇਤੀਅਲੇ ਅਚਿੰਤ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਖਸੀ ॥੧॥

raamaa bhagatah cheteeale achint man raakhasee |1|

He focuses his consciousness on the Lord's devotional worship, and keeps his mind free of anxiety. ||1||

ਕੈਸੇ ਮਨ ਤਰਹਿਗਾ ਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਬਿਖੈ ਕੋ ਬਨਾ ॥

kaise man tarahigaa re sansaar saagar bikhai ko banaa |

O my mind, how will you cross over the world-ocean, if you are filled with the water of corruption?

ਝੂਠੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇਖਿ ਕੈ ਭੂਲਾ ਰੇ ਮਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

jhootthee maaeaa dekh kai bhoolaa re manaa |1| rahaau |

Gazing upon the falseness of Maya, you have gone astray, O my mind. ||1||Pause||

ਛੀਪੇ ਕੇ ਘਰਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਦੈਲਾ ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਭੈਲਾ ॥

chheepe ke ghar janam dailaa gur upades bhailaa |

You have given me birth in the house of a calico-printer, but I have found the Teachings of the Guru.

ਸੰਤਹ ਕੈ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਹਰਿ ਭੇਟੁਲਾ ॥੨॥੫॥

santah kai parasaad naamaa har bhettulaa |2|5|

By the Grace of the Saint, Naam Dayv has met the Lord. ||2||5||
