Chaupaee

ਤਾ ਸੌ ਭੋਗ ਕਰਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਰਸੀ ॥

taa sau bhog karat triy rasee |

He copulated with the woman admirably,

ਜਨ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਨਾਰਿ ਭਵਨ ਤਿਹ ਬਸੀ ॥

jan hvai naar bhavan tih basee |

As if she was his own spouse.

ਨਿਤ ਨਿਸਾ ਕਹ ਤਾਹਿ ਬੁਲਾਵੈ ॥

nit nisaa keh taeh bulaavai |

She started to call him every night,

ਮਨ ਭਾਵਤ ਕੇ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥੧੪॥

man bhaavat ke bhog kamaavai |14|

And enjoyed heart felt sex.(14)

ਆਵਤ ਤਾਹਿ ਲੋਗ ਸਭ ਰੋਕੈ ॥

aavat taeh log sabh rokai |

Coming there, people saw him and admonished,

ਚੋਰ ਪਛਾਨਿ ਪਾਹਰੂ ਟੋਕੈ ॥

chor pachhaan paaharoo ttokai |

And the watchmen reckoned him to be a thief,

ਜਬ ਚੇਰੀ ਤਿਨ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਾਵੈ ॥

jab cheree tin bachan sunaavai |

Then, the maid would tell a telltale,

ਤਬ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਜਾਰ ਸੁ ਪੈਠੈ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੧੫॥

tab grih jaar su paitthai paavai |15|

And the paramour would go in.(15)

ਭੋਗ ਜਾਰ ਸੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਅਤਿ ਕਰੈ ॥

bhog jaar so triy at karai |

ਭਾਤਿ ਭਾਤਿ ਕੇ ਭੋਗਨ ਭਰੈ ॥

bhaat bhaat ke bhogan bharai |

Then, the woman would have sex with the lover,

ਅਧਿਕ ਕਾਮ ਕੋ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਉਪਜਾਵੈ ॥

adhik kaam ko triy upajaavai |

ਲਪਟਿ ਲਪਟਿ ਕਰਿ ਭੋਗ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥੧੬॥
