Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:

ਜੀਅ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਵਸਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕੈ ਜੋ ਕਹੈ ਸੁ ਕਰਨਾ ॥

jeea jugat vas prabhoo kai jo kahai su karanaa |

The living creatures and their ways are in God's power. Whatever He says, they do.

ਭਏ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਰਾਇ ਭਉ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਨਾ ॥੧॥

bhe prasan gopaal raae bhau kichh nahee karanaa |1|

When the Sovereign Lord of the Universe is pleased, there is nothing at all to fear. ||1||

ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਕਦੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਚਿਤਾਰੇ ॥

dookh na laagai kade tudh paarabraham chitaare |

Pain shall never afflict you, if you remember the Supreme Lord God.

ਜਮਕੰਕਰੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

jamakankar nerr na aavee gurasikh piaare |1| rahaau |

The Messenger of Death does not even approach the beloved Sikhs of the Guru. ||1||Pause||

ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਹੋਰੁ ॥

karan kaaran samarath hai tis bin nahee hor |

The All-powerful Lord is the Cause of causes; there is no other than Him.

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਸਾਚਾ ਮਨਿ ਜੋਰੁ ॥੨॥੫॥੬੯॥

naanak prabh saranaagatee saachaa man jor |2|5|69|

Nanak has entered the Sanctuary of God; the True Lord has given strength to the mind. ||2||5||69||
