ਜੈ ਦੇਵੀ ਭੇਵੀ ਭਾਵਾਣੀ ॥

ਭਉ ਖੰਡੀ ਦੁਰਗਾ ਸਰਬਾਣੀ ॥

bhau khanddee duragaa sarabaanee |

“Hail, O Bhairavi, Durga, You are the destroyer of fear, You ferry across the ocean of existence,

ਕੇਸਰੀਆ ਬਾਹੀ ਕਊਮਾਰੀ ॥

kesareea baahee kaoomaaree |

ਭੈਖੰਡੀ ਭੈਰਵਿ ਉਧਾਰੀ ॥੪੫॥

the rider of the lion, the destroyer of fear and generous Creator!45.

ਅਕਲੰਕਾ ਅਤ੍ਰੀ ਛਤ੍ਰਾਣੀ ॥

ਮੋਹਣੀਅੰ ਸਰਬੰ ਲੋਕਾਣੀ ॥

“You are blemishless, adopter of arms, the fascinator of all the worlds, the Kshatriya goddess

ਰਕਤਾਗੀ ਸਾਗੀ ਸਾਵਿਤ੍ਰੀ ॥

ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਰੀ ਪਰਮਾ ਪਾਵਿਤ੍ਰੀ ॥੪੬॥

“You are the youthful goddess of sweet words

ਭਵ ਭਰਣੀ ਹਰਣੀ ਉਧਾਰੀ ॥

bhav bharanee haranee udhaaree |

You are the destroyer of worldly sufferings and redeemer of all

ਮ੍ਰਿਦੁ ਰੂਪਾ ਭੂਪਾ ਬੁਧਾਣੀ ॥

mrid roopaa bhoopaa budhaanee |

You are Rajeshwari full of beauty and wisdom

ਜੈ ਜੰਪੈ ਸੁਧੰ ਸਿਧਾਣੀ ॥੪੭॥

I hail you, O the attainer of all powers.47.

ਜਗ ਧਾਰੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਭਗਤਾਯੰ ॥

jag dhaaree bhaaree bhagataayan |

“O supporter of the world! You are superb for the devotees

ਕਰਿ ਧਾਰੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਮੁਕਤਾਯੰ ॥

kar dhaaree bhaaree mukataayan |

Holding the arms and weapons in your hands

ਸੁੰਦਰ ਗੋਫਣੀਆ ਗੁਰਜਾਣੀ ॥

sundar gofaneea gurajaanee |

ਤੇ ਬਰਣੀ ਹਰਣੀ ਭਾਮਾਣੀ ॥੪੮॥

te baranee haranee bhaamaanee |48|

You have the revolving maces in your hand and on their strength, You appear to be Supreme.48.

ਭਿੰਭਰੀਆ ਜਛੰ ਸਰਬਾਣੀ ॥

bhinbhareea jachhan sarabaanee |

“You are superb amongst Yakshas and Kinnars

ਗੰਧਰਬੀ ਸਿਧੰ ਚਾਰਾਣੀ ॥

gandharabee sidhan chaaraanee |

The Gandharvas and Siddhas (adepts) remain present at your feet

ਅਕਲੰਕ ਸਰੂਪੰ ਨਿਰਮਲੀਅੰ ॥

akalank saroopan niramaleean |

ਘਣ ਮਧੇ ਮਾਨੋ ਚੰਚਲੀਅੰ ॥੪੯॥

Your figure is pure like the lightning in clouds.49.

ਅਸਿਪਾਣੰ ਮਾਣੰ ਲੋਕਾਯੰ ॥

asipaanan maanan lokaayan |

“Holding the sword in your hand, You honour the saints,

ਸੁਖ ਕਰਣੀ ਹਰਣੀ ਸੋਕਾਯੰ ॥

sukh karanee haranee sokaayan |

The giver of comfort and destroyer of sorrow

ਦੁਸਟ ਹੰਤੀ ਸੰਤੰ ਉਧਾਰੀ ॥

dusatt hantee santan udhaaree |

You are the destroyer of tyrants, redeemer of the saints

ਅਨਛੇਦਾਭੇਦਾ ਕਉਮਾਰੀ ॥੫੦॥

You are invincible and treasure of Virtues.50.

ਆਨੰਦੀ ਗਿਰਜਾ ਕਉਮਾਰੀ ॥

“You are he bliss-giving girija Kumari

ਅਨਛੇਦਾਭੇਦਾ ਉਧਾਰੀ ॥

You are indestructible, the destroyer of all and the redeemer of all

ਅਨਗੰਜ ਅਭੰਜਾ ਖੰਕਾਲੀ ॥

anaganj abhanjaa khankaalee |

You are the eternal goddess Kali, but alongwith it,

ਮ੍ਰਿਗਨੈਣੀ ਰੂਪੰ ਉਜਾਲੀ ॥੫੧॥

You are the doe-eyed most beautiful goddess.51.

ਰਕਤਾਗੀ ਰੁਦ੍ਰਾ ਪਿੰਗਾਛੀ ॥

“You are the wife of Rudra with blood-saturated limbs

ਕਟਿ ਕਛੀ ਸ੍ਵਛੀ ਹੁਲਾਸੀ ॥

katt kachhee svachhee hulaasee |

You are the chopper of all, but You are also Pure and Bliss-giving goddess

ਰਕਤਾਲੀ ਰਾਮਾ ਧਉਲਾਲੀ ॥

rakataalee raamaa dhaulaalee |

You are the mistress of activity and harmony

ਮੋਹਣੀਆ ਮਾਈ ਖੰਕਾਲੀ ॥੫੨॥

“You are the Donor of gifts and the destroyer of the world, the goddess Durga!

ਰੁਦ੍ਰਾਗੀ ਰੁਦ੍ਰਾ ਰਕਤਾਗੀ ॥

You sit on the left limb of Rudra, the blood-coloured goddess

ਪਰਮੇਸਰੀ ਮਾਈ ਧਰਮਾਗੀ ॥੫੩॥

ਮਹਿਖਾਸੁਰ ਦਰਣੀ ਮਹਿਪਾਲੀ ॥

“You are the killer of Mahishasura You are kali,

ਚਿਛੁਰਾਸਰ ਹੰਤੀ ਖੰਕਾਲੀ ॥

chichhuraasar hantee khankaalee |

The destroyer of Chachhasura and also the Sustainer of the earth

ਅਸਿ ਪਾਣੀ ਮਾਣੀ ਦੇਵਾਣੀ ॥

as paanee maanee devaanee |

You are the pride of he goddesses,

ਜੈ ਦਾਤੀ ਦੁਰਗਾ ਭਾਵਾਣੀ ॥੫੪॥

ਪਿੰਗਾਛੀ ਪਰਮਾ ਪਾਵਿਤ੍ਰੀ ॥

ਸਾਵਿਤ੍ਰੀ ਸੰਧਿਆ ਗਾਇਤ੍ਰੀ ॥

saavitree sandhiaa gaaeitree |

“You are the brown-eyed immaculate Parvati, Savitri and Gayatri

ਭੈ ਹਰਣੀ ਭੀਮਾ ਭਾਮਾਣੀ ॥

bhai haranee bheemaa bhaamaanee |

You are the remover of fear, the mighty goddess Durga

ਜੈ ਦੇਵੀ ਦੁਰਗਾ ਦੇਵਾਣੀ ॥੫੫॥

jai devee duragaa devaanee |55|

Hail, hail to Thee.55.

ਦੁਰਗਾ ਦਲ ਗਾਹੀ ਦੇਵਾਣੀ ॥

duragaa dal gaahee devaanee |

You are the mother Durga,

ਭੈ ਖੰਡੀ ਸਰਬੰ ਭੂਤਾਣੀ ॥

bhai khanddee saraban bhootaanee |

“You are the destroyer of armies in the war, the perisher of the fear of all

ਜੈ ਚੰਡੀ ਮੁੰਡੀ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਹੰਤੀ ॥

jai chanddee munddee satru hantee |

The killer of the enemies like Chand and Mund,

ਜੈ ਦਾਤੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੈਅੰਤੀ ॥੫੬॥

jai daatee maataa jaiantee |56|

Hail, O goddess, the giver of victory.56.

ਸੰਸਰਣੀ ਤਰਾਣੀ ਲੋਕਾਣੀ ॥

sansaranee taraanee lokaanee |

“You are the one who ferries across the ocean of the world

ਭਿੰਭਰਾਣੀ ਦਰਣੀ ਦਈਤਾਣੀ ॥

bhinbharaanee daranee deetaanee |

You are the one who roams and crushes everyone

ਕੇਕਰਣੀ ਕਾਰਣ ਲੋਕਾਣੀ ॥

kekaranee kaaran lokaanee |

O Durga! you are the cause of the creation of all the worlds

ਦੁਖ ਹਰਣੀ ਦੇਵੰ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਾਣੀ ॥੫੭॥

dukh haranee devan indraanee |57|

And you are the remover of the suffering of Indrani.57.

ਸੁੰਭ ਹੰਤੀ ਜਯੰਤੀ ਖੰਕਾਲੀ ॥

sunbh hantee jayantee khankaalee |

ਕੰਕੜੀਆ ਰੂਪਾ ਰਕਤਾਲੀ ॥

kankarreea roopaa rakataalee |

ਤੋਤਲੀਆ ਜਿਹਵਾ ਸਿੰਧੁਲੀਆ ॥

totaleea jihavaa sindhuleea |

ਹਿੰਗਲੀਆ ਮਾਤਾ ਪਿੰਗਲੀਆ ॥੫੮॥

hingaleea maataa pingaleea |58|

ਚੰਚਾਲੀ ਚਿਤ੍ਰਾ ਚਿਤ੍ਰਾਗੀ ॥

chanchaalee chitraa chitraagee |

“You have the portrait like beautiful limbs and your plays are extensive

ਭਿੰਭਰੀਆ ਭੀਮਾ ਸਰਬਾਗੀ ॥

bhinbhareea bheemaa sarabaagee |

You are the store of wisdom and the well of glory

ਬੁਧਿ ਭੂਪਾ ਕੂਪਾ ਜੁਜ੍ਵਾਲੀ ॥

budh bhoopaa koopaa jujvaalee |

ਅਕਲੰਕਾ ਮਾਈ ਨ੍ਰਿਮਾਲੀ ॥੫੯॥

akalankaa maaee nrimaalee |59|

O mother! You are modest and blemishless.59

ਉਛਲੈ ਲੰਕੁੜੀਆ ਛਤ੍ਰਾਲਾ ॥

auchhalai lankurreea chhatraalaa |

ਭਿੰਭਰੀਆ ਭੈਰੋ ਭਉਹਾਲਾ ॥

bhinbhareea bhairo bhauhaalaa |

“Hanuman and Bairava jump and wander with your strength

ਜੈ ਦਾਤਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਜੈਦਾਣੀ ॥

jai daataa maataa jaidaanee |

O mother! you are the Donor of Victory

ਲੋਕੇਸੀ ਦੁਰਗਾ ਭਾਵਾਣੀ ॥੬੦॥

lokesee duragaa bhaavaanee |60|

You are the mistress of al the worlds and You are Durga, who ferries across the cycle of existence.60.

ਸੰਮੋਹੀ ਸਰਬੰ ਜਗਤਾਯੰ ॥

samohee saraban jagataayan |

ਨਿੰਦ੍ਰਾ ਛੁਧ੍ਰਯਾ ਪਿਪਾਸਾਯੰ ॥

nindraa chhudhrayaa pipaasaayan |

“O goddess! You have engrossed all the world in sleep, hunger and thirst

ਜੈ ਕਾਲੰ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਕ੍ਰਾਣੀ ॥

jai kaalan raatee sakraanee |

ਉਧਾਰੀ ਭਾਰੀ ਭਗਤਾਣੀ ॥੬੧॥

audhaaree bhaaree bhagataanee |61|

O KAL! You are the goddess like Ratri and Indrani and the redeemer of the devotees.61.

ਜੈ ਮਾਈ ਗਾਈ ਬੇਦਾਣੀ ॥

jai maaee gaaee bedaanee |

“O Mother! the Vedas have also sung the Praises of your victory

ਅਨਛਿਜ ਅਭਿਦਾ ਅਖਿਦਾਣੀ ॥

anachhij abhidaa akhidaanee |

You are Indiscriminate and Indestructible

ਭੈ ਹਰਣੀ ਸਰਬੰ ਸੰਤਾਣੀ ॥

bhai haranee saraban santaanee |

ਜੈ ਦਾਤਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਣੀ ॥੬੨॥

You are the remover of the fear of the saints, the giver of victory and sword-wielder.”62.
