ਰਾਤਿ ਹਨ੍ਹੇਰੀ ਚਮਕਦੇ ਲਖ ਕਰੋੜੀ ਅੰਬਰਿ ਤਾਰੇ ।

raat hanheree chamakade lakh karorree anbar taare |

The lacs of stars shine in the dark night but with the moon rise they become dim.

ਚੜ੍ਹਿਐ ਚੰਦ ਮਲੀਣ ਹੋਣਿ ਕੋ ਲੁਕੈ ਕੋ ਬੁਕੈ ਬਬਾਰੇ ।

charrhiai chand maleen hon ko lukai ko bukai babaare |

Some of them go in hiding while some continue to twinkle.

ਸੂਰਜ ਜੋਤਿ ਉਦੋਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਤਾਰੇ ਚੰਦ ਨ ਰੈਣਿ ਅੰਧਾਰੇ ।

sooraj jot udot kar taare chand na rain andhaare |

With the sun rise, the stars, the moon and the dark night, all vanish.

ਦੇਵੀ ਦੇਵ ਨ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਤੰਤ ਨ ਮੰਤ ਨ ਫੁਰਨਿ ਵਿਚਾਰੇ ।

devee dev na sevakaan tant na mant na furan vichaare |

Before the servants, accomplished through the word of the true Guru, four vamas and four ashrams (astclhätu), the Vedas, Katebas are negligible

ਵੇਦ ਕਤੇਬ ਨ ਅਸਟ ਧਾਤੁ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸਬਦ ਸਵਾਰੇ ।

ved kateb na asatt dhaat poore satigur sabad savaare |

And the idea about gods, goddesses, their servants, tantra, mantra etc. does not even occur in the mind.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪੰਥ ਸੁਹਾਵੜਾ ਧੰਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਧੰਨੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਿਆਰੇ ।

guramukh panth suhaavarraa dhan guroo dhan guroo piaare |

The way of gurmukhs is delightful. Blest is the Guru and also blessed are his beloved ones.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੇ ।੬।
