Aasaavaree, Fifth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨੀ ਹਾਂ ॥

har har har gunee haan |

Sing the Praises of the Lord, Har, Har, Har.

ਜਪੀਐ ਸਹਜ ਧੁਨੀ ਹਾਂ ॥

japeeai sehaj dhunee haan |

Meditate on the celestial music.

ਸਾਧੂ ਰਸਨ ਭਨੀ ਹਾਂ ॥

saadhoo rasan bhanee haan |

The tongues of the holy Saints repeat it.

ਛੂਟਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੁਨੀ ਹਾਂ ॥

chhoottan bidh sunee haan |

I have heard that this is the way to emancipation.

ਪਾਈਐ ਵਡ ਪੁਨੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

paaeeai vadd punee mere manaa |1| rahaau |

This is found by the greatest merit, O my mind. ||1||Pause||

ਖੋਜਹਿ ਜਨ ਮੁਨੀ ਹਾਂ ॥

khojeh jan munee haan |

The silent sages search for Him.

ਸ੍ਰਬ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਨੀ ਹਾਂ ॥

srab kaa prabh dhanee haan |

God is the Master of all.

ਦੁਲਭ ਕਲਿ ਦੁਨੀ ਹਾਂ ॥

dulabh kal dunee haan |

It is so difficult to find Him in this world, in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga.

ਦੂਖ ਬਿਨਾਸਨੀ ਹਾਂ ॥

dookh binaasanee haan |

He is the Dispeller of distress.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸਨੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨਾ ॥੧॥

prabh pooran aasanee mere manaa |1|

God is the Fulfiller of desires, O my mind. ||1||

ਮਨ ਸੋ ਸੇਵੀਐ ਹਾਂ ॥

man so seveeai haan |

O my mind, serve Him.

ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵੀਐ ਹਾਂ ॥

alakh abheveeai haan |

He is unknowable and inscrutable.

ਤਾਂ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਕਰਿ ਹਾਂ ॥

taan siau preet kar haan |

Enshrine love for Him.

ਬਿਨਸਿ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਮਰਿ ਹਾਂ ॥

binas na jaae mar haan |

He does not perish, or go away, or die.

ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਹਾਂ ॥

gur te jaaniaa haan |

He is known only through the Guru.

ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨਾ ॥੨॥੩॥੧੫੯॥

naanak man maaniaa mere manaa |2|3|159|

Nanak, my mind is satisfied with the Lord, O my mind. ||2||3||159||
