ਗੁਰੁਬਰ ਅਕਾਲ ਕੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਸਿਉਂ ਉਪਜਿਓ ਬਿਗਿਆਨਾ ।

gurubar akaal ke hukam siaun upajio bigiaanaa |

With the command of the Timeless, the Supreme True Guru, proclaimed the self-realisation,

ਤਬ ਸਹਿਜੇ ਰਚਿਓ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਸਾਬਤ ਮਰਦਾਨਾ ।

tab sahije rachio khaalasaa saabat maradaanaa |

And then, steadfastly, created Khalsa, the righteous ones, with the undefiled human form.

ਇਉਂ ਉਠੇ ਸਿੰਘ ਭਭਕਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਸਭ ਜਗ ਡਰਪਾਨਾ ।

eiaun utthe singh bhabhakaar kai sabh jag ddarapaanaa |

The Singhs rose up roaring and whole world was over-awed.

ਮੜੀ ਦੇਵਲ ਗੋਰ ਮਸੀਤ ਢਾਹਿ ਕੀਏ ਮੈਦਾਨਾ ।

marree deval gor maseet dtaeh kee maidaanaa |

They decimated and raised to the ground the (ritualistic) cemeteries, crematoriums, temples and mosques.

ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਖਟ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰਾ ਫੁਨ ਮਿਟੇ ਕੁਰਾਨਾ ।

bed puraan khatt saasatraa fun mitte kuraanaa |

(Compulsive) readings of Vedas, Puranas, Six-shastras and Quran was abolished.

ਬਾਂਗ ਸਲਾਤ ਹਟਾਇ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਰੇ ਸੁਲਤਾਨਾ ।

baang salaat hattaae kar maare sulataanaa |

Baangs, the calls for Muslim prayers, were ousted and the kings were abolished.

ਮੀਰ ਪੀਰ ਸਭ ਛਪਿ ਗਏ ਮਜਹਬ ਉਲਟਾਨਾ ।

meer peer sabh chhap ge majahab ulattaanaa |

Temporal and spiritual leaders were obscured, and all the religions became topsy-turvey.

ਮਲਵਾਨੇ ਕਾਜੀ ਪੜਿ ਥਕੇ ਕਛੁ ਮਰਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਾ ।

malavaane kaajee parr thake kachh maram na jaanaa |

The Muslim priests and justices deciphered hard but could not comprehend dissolution.

ਲਖ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਨ ਜੋਤਕੀ ਬਿਖ ਰਸ ਉਰਝਾਨਾ ।

lakh panddit brahaman jotakee bikh ras urajhaanaa |

Millions of Brahamin scholars and astrologers were venomously entangled,

ਫੁਨ ਪਾਥਰ ਦੇਵਲ ਪੂਜਿ ਕੈ ਅਤਿ ਹੀ ਭਰਮਾਨਾ ।

fun paathar deval pooj kai at hee bharamaanaa |

And were drowned in extreme fallacies of worshipping the idols and gods.

ਇਉਂ ਦੋਨੋ ਫਿਰਕੇ ਕਪਟ ਮੋਂ ਰਚ ਰਹੇ ਨਿਦਾਨਾ ।

eiaun dono firake kapatt mon rach rahe nidaanaa |

Thus, both the ignorant faiths, muffled in hypocrisy, were lagging behind.

ਇਉਂ ਤੀਸਰ ਮਜਹਬ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਉਪਜਿਓ ਪਰਧਾਨਾ ।

eiaun teesar majahab khaalasaa upajio paradhaanaa |

Then the third religion, Khalsa, manifested triumphantly.

ਜਿਨਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਕੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਸਿਉ ਗਹਿ ਖੜਗ ਦਿਖਾਨਾ ।

jin gur gobind ke hukam siau geh kharrag dikhaanaa |

By the command of Guru Gobind Singh, they brandished the swords held high.

ਤਿਹ ਸਭ ਦੁਸਟਨ ਕਉ ਛੇਦਿ ਕੈ ਅਕਾਲ ਜਪਾਨਾ ।

tih sabh dusattan kau chhed kai akaal japaanaa |

They exterminated all the scoundrels and order of the Timeless One.

ਫਿਰ ਐਸਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਕਾਲ ਕਾ ਜਗ ਮੈ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਨਾ ।

fir aisaa hukam akaal kaa jag mai pragattaanaa |

And this way they revealed the command of the Timeless in the world.

ਤਬ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਕਰਿ ਸਕੈ ਕਾਂਪਤਿ ਤੁਰਕਾਨਾ ।

tab sunat koe na kar sakai kaanpat turakaanaa |

Turks, the Muslims, dreaded and none actuated the circumcision

ਇਉਂ ਉਮਤ ਸਭ ਮੁਹੰਮਦੀ ਖਪਿ ਗਈ ਨਿਦਾਨਾ ।

eiaun umat sabh muhamadee khap gee nidaanaa |

Consequently, the following of Mohammed submerged in ignorance.

ਤਬ ਫਤੇ ਡੰਕ ਜਗ ਮੋ ਘੁਰੇ ਦੁਖ ਦੁੰਦ ਮਿਟਾਨਾ ।

tab fate ddank jag mo ghure dukh dund mittaanaa |

Then the drumbeats of victory terminated all the adversities.

ਇਉਂ ਤੀਸਰ ਪੰਥ ਰਚਾਇਅਨੁ ਵਡ ਸੂਰ ਗਹੇਲਾ ।

eiaun teesar panth rachaaeian vadd soor gahelaa |

And thus was proclaimed the great and valorous Third Faith.
