ਘੇਰਿ ਲਯੋ ਖੜਗੇਸ ਜਬੈ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਦੁਰਜੋਧਨ ਕੋਪ ਭਯੋ ਹੈ ॥

gher layo kharrages jabai tab hee durajodhan kop bhayo hai |

After surrounding Kharag Singh, Duryodhana was greatly enraged

ਪਾਰਥ ਭੀਮ ਜੁਧਿਸਟਰ ਭੀਖਮ ਅਉਰ ਹਲੀ ਹਲੁ ਪਾਨਿ ਲਯੋ ਹੈ ॥

Arjuna, Bhima, Yudhishtar and Bhishma took their weapons and Balram carried his plough

ਭਾਨੁਜ ਦ੍ਰਉਣ ਜੁ ਅਉਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਸੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਲਏ ਅਰਿ ਓਰਿ ਗਯੋ ਹੈ ॥

bhaanuj draun ju aaur kripaa su kripaan le ar or gayo hai |

ਅਤ੍ਰਨ ਲਾਤਨ ਮੂਕਨ ਦਾਤਨ ਕੋ ਤਹਾ ਆਹਵ ਹੋਤ ਭਯੋ ਹੈ ॥੧੬੩੬॥

atran laatan mookan daatan ko tahaa aahav hot bhayo hai |1636|

Dronacharya, Kripacharya, Karana etc., have advanced towards the enemy and the dreadful fighting began with arms, legs, fists and teeth.1636.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਖੜਗੇਸ ਲਯੋ ਧਨੁ ਬਾਨ ਸੰਭਾਰਿ ਕਈ ਅਰਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਸੰਘਾਰੇ ॥

Kharag Singh, holding his bow and arrows killed millions of enemies

ਬਾਜ ਪਰੇ ਕਹੂੰ ਤਾਜ ਗਿਰੇ ਗਜਰਾਜ ਗਿਰੇ ਗਿਰਿ ਸੇ ਧਰਿ ਕਾਰੇ ॥

baaj pare kahoon taaj gire gajaraaj gire gir se dhar kaare |

Somewhere horses, somewhere the black elephants like mountains have fallen down

ਘਾਇਲ ਏਕ ਪਰੇ ਤਰਫੈ ਸੁ ਮਨੋ ਕਰਸਾਯਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਿਡਾਰੇ ॥

ਏਕ ਬਲੀ ਕਰਵਾਰਨ ਸੋ ਅਰਿ ਲੋਥ ਪਰੀ ਤਿਹ ਮੂੰਡ ਉਤਾਰੇ ॥੧੬੩੭॥

ek balee karavaaran so ar loth paree tih moondd utaare |1637|

Some of them, having fallen, are writhing like young one of an elephant crushed by lion and some of them are so powerful, who are severing the heads of the fallen corpses.1637.

ਭੂਪਤਿ ਬਾਨ ਕਮਾਨ ਗਹੀ ਜਦੁਬੀਰਨ ਕੇ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ਉਤਾਰੇ ॥

bhoopat baan kamaan gahee jadubeeran ke abhimaan utaare |

ਫੇਰਿ ਲਈ ਜਮਧਾਰਿ ਸੰਭਾਰਿ ਹਕਾਰ ਕੇ ਸਤ੍ਰਨ ਕੇ ਉਰ ਫਾਰੇ ॥

fer lee jamadhaar sanbhaar hakaar ke satran ke ur faare |

The king, taking up his bow and arrows pulverised the pride of Yadavas and then taking up the axe in his hand, he tore away the hearts of the enemies

ਘਾਇ ਏਕ ਗਿਰੇ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਅਪਨੇ ਮਨ ਮੈ ਜਗਦੀਸ ਸੰਭਾਰੇ ॥

ghaae ek gire ran mai apane man mai jagadees sanbhaare |

The warriors, getting wounded in the war, are remembering the Lord in their mind

ਤੇ ਵਹ ਮੋਖ ਭਏ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਭਵ ਕੋ ਤਰ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਲੋਕਿ ਪਧਾਰੇ ॥੧੬੩੮॥

te veh mokh bhe tab hee bhav ko tar kai har lok padhaare |1638|

Those who have died in the war, have attained salvation and they ferried across the dreadful ocean of samsara and gone to the abode of the Lord.1638.
