Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣਿ ਜੋ ਜਨ ਗੀਧੇ ॥

raam rasaaein jo jan geedhe |

Those humble beings who are accustomed to the Lord's sublime essence,

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤੀ ਬੀਧੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

charan kamal prem bhagatee beedhe |1| rahaau |

are pierced through with loving devotional worship of the Lord's Lotus Feet. ||1||Pause||

ਆਨ ਰਸਾ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਸਭਿ ਛਾਰੁ ॥

aan rasaa deeseh sabh chhaar |

All other pleasures look like ashes;

ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਿਹਫਲ ਸੰਸਾਰ ॥੧॥

naam binaa nihafal sansaar |1|

without the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the world is fruitless. ||1||

ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਤੇ ਕਾਢੇ ਆਪਿ ॥

andh koop te kaadte aap |

He Himself rescues us from the deep dark well.

ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਅਚਰਜ ਪਰਤਾਪ ॥੨॥

gun govind acharaj parataap |2|

Wondrous and Glorious are the Praises of the Lord of the Universe. ||2||

ਵਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥

van trin tribhavan pooran gopaal |

In the woods and meadows, and throughout the three worlds, the Sustainer of the Universe is pervading.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਸਾਰੁ ਜੀਅ ਸੰਗਿ ਦਇਆਲ ॥੩॥

braham pasaar jeea sang deaal |3|

The Expansive Lord God is Merciful to all beings. ||3||

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾ ਕਥਨੀ ਸਾਰੁ ॥

kahu naanak saa kathanee saar |

Says Nanak, that speech alone is excellent,

ਮਾਨਿ ਲੇਤੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰੁ ॥੪॥੯੪॥੧੬੩॥

maan let jis sirajanahaar |4|94|163|

which is approved by the Creator Lord. ||4||94||163||
