Dayv-Gandhaaree, Fifth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ॥

har praan prabhoo sukhadaate |

The Lord God is my praanaa, my breath of life; He is the Giver of peace.

ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕਾਹੂ ਜਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

gur prasaad kaahoo jaate |1| rahaau |

By Guru's Grace, only a few know Him. ||1||Pause||

ਸੰਤ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਕਾਲ ਨ ਖਾਤੇ ॥

sant tumaare tumare preetam tin kau kaal na khaate |

Your Saints are Your Beloveds; death does not consume them.

ਰੰਗਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੈ ਲਾਲ ਭਏ ਹੈ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਰਸਿ ਮਾਤੇ ॥੧॥

rang tumaarai laal bhe hai raam naam ras maate |1|

They are dyed in the deep crimson color of Your Love, and they are intoxicated with the sublime essence of the Lord's Name. ||1||

ਮਹਾ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਕੋਟਿ ਦੋਖ ਰੋਗਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਤੁਹਾਰੀ ਹਾਤੇ ॥

mahaa kilabikh kott dokh rogaa prabh drisatt tuhaaree haate |

The greatest sins, and millions of pains and diseases are destroyed by Your Gracious Glance, O God.

ਸੋਵਤ ਜਾਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਇਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨ ਪਰਾਤੇ ॥੨॥੮॥

sovat jaag har har har gaaeaa naanak gur charan paraate |2|8|

While sleeping and waking, Nanak sings the Lord's Name, Har, Har, Har; he falls at the Guru's feet. ||2||8||
