ਤੂ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਜੋਨਿ ਨ ਆਵਹੀ ॥

too paarabraham paramesar jon na aavahee |

O Supreme Lord God, O Transcendent Lord, You do not take birth.

ਤੂ ਹੁਕਮੀ ਸਾਜਹਿ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸਾਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਹੀ ॥

too hukamee saajeh srisatt saaj samaavahee |

By the Hukam of Your Command, You formed the Universe; forming it, You merge into it.

ਤੇਰਾ ਰੂਪੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਲਖਿਆ ਕਿਉ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਧਿਆਵਹੀ ॥

teraa roop na jaaee lakhiaa kiau tujheh dhiaavahee |

Your Form cannot be known; how can one meditate on You?

ਤੂ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਵਰਤਹਿ ਆਪਿ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਦੇਖਾਵਹੀ ॥

too sabh meh varateh aap kudarat dekhaavahee |

You are pervading and permeating all; You Yourself reveal Your creative potency.

ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵਹੀ ॥

teree bhagat bhare bhanddaar tott na aavahee |

Your treasures of devotional worship are overflowing; they never decrease.

ਏਹਿ ਰਤਨ ਜਵੇਹਰ ਲਾਲ ਕੀਮ ਨ ਪਾਵਹੀ ॥

ehi ratan javehar laal keem na paavahee |

These gems, jewels and diamonds - their value cannot be estimated.

ਜਿਸੁ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਵਹੀ ॥

jis hoveh aap deaal tis satigur sevaa laavahee |

As You Yourself become merciful, Lord, You link us to the service of the True Guru.

ਤਿਸੁ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਤੋਟਿ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹੀ ॥੩॥

tis kade na aavai tott jo har gun gaavahee |3|

One who sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord, never suffers any deficiency. ||3||
