Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਤਾ ਤੇ ਕਰਣ ਪਲਾਹ ਕਰੇ ॥

taa te karan palaah kare |

You whine and cry

ਮਹਾ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਮੋਹ ਮਦ ਮਾਤੌ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਨਾਹਿ ਹਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

mahaa bikaar moh mad maatau simarat naeh hare |1| rahaau |

- you are intoxicated with the great corruption of attachment and pride, but you do not remember the Lord in meditation. ||1||Pause||

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਪਤੇ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਦੋਖ ਜਰੇ ॥

saadhasang japate naaraaein tin ke dokh jare |

Those who meditate on the Lord in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy - the guilt of their minstakes is burnt away.

ਸਫਲ ਦੇਹ ਧੰਨਿ ਓਇ ਜਨਮੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਲੇ ॥੧॥

safal deh dhan oe janame prabh kai sang rale |1|

Fruitful is the body, and blessed is the birth of those who merge with God. ||1||

ਚਾਰਿ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਅਸਟ ਦਸਾ ਸਿਧਿ ਸਭ ਊਪਰਿ ਸਾਧ ਭਲੇ ॥

chaar padaarath asatt dasaa sidh sabh aoopar saadh bhale |

The four great blessings, and the eighteen supernatural spiritual powers - above all these are the Holy Saints.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਧੂਰਿ ਜਨ ਬਾਂਛੈ ਉਧਰਹਿ ਲਾਗਿ ਪਲੇ ॥੨॥੯੭॥੧੨੦॥

naanak daas dhoor jan baanchhai udhareh laag pale |2|97|120|

Slave Nanak longs for the dust of the feet of the humble; attached to the hem of His robe, he is saved. ||2||97||120||
