ਦੇਵਗੰਧਾਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

ਅਪੁਨੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਬਿਨਉ ਕਹਿਆ ॥

apune satigur peh binau kahiaa |

I offer my prayer to my True Guru.

ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਗਲ ਅੰਦੇਸਰਾ ਗਇਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

bhe kripaal deaal dukh bhanjan meraa sagal andesaraa geaa | rahaau |

The Destroyer of distress has become kind and merciful, and all my anxiety is over. ||Pause||

ਹਮ ਪਾਪੀ ਪਾਖੰਡੀ ਲੋਭੀ ਹਮਰਾ ਗੁਨੁ ਅਵਗੁਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਸਹਿਆ ॥

ham paapee paakhanddee lobhee hamaraa gun avagun sabh sahiaa |

I am a sinner, hypocritical and greedy, but still, He puts up with all of my merits and demerits.

ਕਰੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਧਾਰਿ ਸਾਜਿ ਨਿਵਾਜੇ ਮੁਏ ਦੁਸਟ ਜੋ ਖਇਆ ॥੧॥

kar masatak dhaar saaj nivaaje mue dusatt jo kheaa |1|

Placing His hand on my forehead, He has exalted me. The wicked ones who wanted to destroy me have been killed. ||1||

ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੀ ਸਰਬ ਸਧਾਰੀ ਸਫਲ ਦਰਸਨ ਸਹਜਇਆ ॥

praupakaaree sarab sadhaaree safal darasan sahajeaa |

He is generous and benevolent, the beautifier of all, the embodiment of peace; the Blessed Vision of His Darshan is so fruitful!

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਕਉ ਦਾਤਾ ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਉਰ ਧਰਿਆ ॥੨॥੨੪॥

kahu naanak niragun kau daataa charan kamal ur dhariaa |2|24|

Says Nanak, He is the Giver to the unworthy; I enshrine His Lotus Feet within my heart. ||2||24||
