ਕਬਹੂ ਹੋਇ ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਕਰੇ ਬਖੵਾਨੁ ॥
kabahoo hoe panddit kare bakhayaan |
Sometimes, as scholars, they deliver lectures.
ਕਬਹੂ ਮੋਨਿਧਾਰੀ ਲਾਵੈ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥
kabahoo monidhaaree laavai dhiaan |
Sometimes, they hold to silence in deep meditation.
ਕਬਹੂ ਤਟ ਤੀਰਥ ਇਸਨਾਨ ॥
kabahoo tatt teerath isanaan |
Sometimes, they take cleansing baths at places of pilgrimage.
ਕਬਹੂ ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਮੁਖਿ ਗਿਆਨ ॥
kabahoo sidh saadhik mukh giaan |
Sometimes, as Siddhas or seekers, they impart spiritual wisdom.
ਕਬਹੂ ਕੀਟ ਹਸਤਿ ਪਤੰਗ ਹੋਇ ਜੀਆ ॥
kabahoo keett hasat patang hoe jeea |
Sometimes, they becomes worms, elephants, or moths.
ਅਨਿਕ ਜੋਨਿ ਭਰਮੈ ਭਰਮੀਆ ॥
anik jon bharamai bharameea |
They may wander and roam through countless incarnations.
ਨਾਨਾ ਰੂਪ ਜਿਉ ਸ੍ਵਾਗੀ ਦਿਖਾਵੈ ॥
naanaa roop jiau svaagee dikhaavai |
In various costumes, like actors, they appear.
ਜਿਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਵੈ ਨਚਾਵੈ ॥
jiau prabh bhaavai tivai nachaavai |
As it pleases God, they dance.
ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਹੋਇ ॥
jo tis bhaavai soee hoe |
Whatever pleases Him, comes to pass.
ਨਾਨਕ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥੭॥
naanak doojaa avar na koe |7|
O Nanak, there is no other at all. ||7||
