ਮਿਲਦੇ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਦੁਇ ਮਿਲਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਕਰਨਿ ਸਲਾਮਾਲੇਕੀ ।

milade musalamaan due mil mil karan salaamaalekee |

When two Muslims meet they greet each other by saying `Salam' (salamalaikum).

ਜੋਗੀ ਕਰਨਿ ਅਦੇਸ ਮਿਲਿ ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਆਦੇਸੁ ਵਿਸੇਖੀ ।

jogee karan ades mil aad purakh aades visekhee |

When yogis meet they exchange Wes salute to that ,primaeval Lord.

ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਕਰਿ ਓਨਮੋ ਓਨਮ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਬਹੁ ਭੇਖੀ ।

saniaasee kar onamo onam naaraaein bahu bhekhee |

Sannyasis of different garbs say 'On namah', 'om namah narayanah'.

ਬਾਮ੍ਹਣ ਨੋ ਕਰਿ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਿ ਆਸੀਰ ਵਚਨ ਮੁਹੁ ਦੇਖੀ ।

baamhan no kar namasakaar kar aaseer vachan muhu dekhee |

When one bows before a brahmin, he also in view of the station of the person gives blessings accordingly.

ਪੈਰੀ ਪਵਣਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖਾ ਰਹਰਾਸਿ ਸਰੇਖੀ ।

pairee pavanaa satiguroo gur sikhaa raharaas sarekhee |

Among the Sikhs, on meeting, the tradition of salulation by touching feet is there, and this is the best one.

ਰਾਜਾ ਰੰਕੁ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਬਾਲਕ ਬਿਰਧਿ ਨ ਭੇਦੁ ਨਿਮੇਖੀ ।

raajaa rank baraabaree baalak biradh na bhed nimekhee |

In this act the king and the poor are equal and no distinction of young and old is observed.

ਚੰਦਨ ਭਗਤਾ ਰੂਪ ਨ ਰੇਖੀ ।੨੦।

chandan bhagataa roop na rekhee |20|

The devotees like sandal wood make no discrimination (while spreading their fragrance).
