Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਸਰਬ ਉਪਾਵ ਬਿਰਕਾਤੇ ॥

ab mohi sarab upaav birakaate |

Now I have abandoned all efforts and devices.

ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਏਕਸੁ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਗਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

karan kaaran samarath suaamee har ekas te meree gaate |1| rahaau |

My Lord and Master is the All-powerful Creator, the Cause of causes, my only Saving Grace. ||1||Pause||

ਦੇਖੇ ਨਾਨਾ ਰੂਪ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗਾ ਅਨ ਨਾਹੀ ਤੁਮ ਭਾਂਤੇ ॥

dekhe naanaa roop bahu rangaa an naahee tum bhaante |

I have seen numerous forms of incomparable beauty, but nothing is like You.

ਦੇਂਹਿ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਸਰਬ ਕਉ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ॥੧॥

denhi adhaar sarab kau tthaakur jeea praan sukhadaate |1|

You give Your Support to all, O my Lord and Master; You are the Giver of peace, of the soul and the breath of life. ||1||

ਭ੍ਰਮਤੌ ਭ੍ਰਮਤੌ ਹਾਰਿ ਜਉ ਪਰਿਓ ਤਉ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਚਰਨ ਪਰਾਤੇ ॥

bhramatau bhramatau haar jau pario tau gur mil charan paraate |

Wandering, wandering, I grew so tired; meeting the Guru, I fell at His Feet.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੈ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਇਹ ਸੂਖਿ ਬਿਹਾਨੀ ਰਾਤੇ ॥੨॥੩॥੨੬॥

kahu naanak mai sarab sukh paaeaa ih sookh bihaanee raate |2|3|26|

Says Nanak, I have found total peace; this life-night of mine passes in peace. ||2||3||26||
