Fifth Mehl:

ਮੁੰਢਹੁ ਭੁਲੇ ਮੁੰਢ ਤੇ ਕਿਥੈ ਪਾਇਨਿ ਹਥੁ ॥

mundtahu bhule mundt te kithai paaein hath |

Those who went astray from the Primal Being in the very beginning - where can they find refuge?

ਤਿੰਨੈ ਮਾਰੇ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਜਿ ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ॥੨॥

tinai maare naanakaa ji karan kaaran samarath |2|

O Nanak, they are struck down by the All-powerful, the Cause of causes. ||2||
