ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Raamkalee, Fifth Mehl:

ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਜਾਪਿ ਭਗਵੰਤੁ ॥

man maeh jaap bhagavant |

In your mind, meditate on the Lord God.

ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਇਹੁ ਦੀਨੋ ਮੰਤੁ ॥

gur poorai ihu deeno mant |

This is the Teaching given by the Perfect Guru.

ਮਿਟੇ ਸਗਲ ਭੈ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ॥

mitte sagal bhai traas |

All fears and terrors are taken away,

ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਈ ਆਸ ॥੧॥

pooran hoee aas |1|

and your hopes shall be fulfilled. ||1||

ਸਫਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਗੁਰਦੇਵਾ ॥

safal sevaa guradevaa |

Service to the Divine Guru is fruitful and rewarding.

ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਸਾਚੇ ਸਚੁ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

keemat kichh kehan na jaaee saache sach alakh abhevaa |1| rahaau |

His value cannot be described; the True Lord is unseen and mysterious. ||1||Pause||

ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨ ਆਪਿ ॥

karan karaavan aap |

He Himself is the Doer, the Cause of causes.

ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਸਦਾ ਮਨ ਜਾਪਿ ॥

tis kau sadaa man jaap |

Meditate on Him forever, O my mind,

ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਿ ਨੀਤ ॥

tis kee sevaa kar neet |

And continually serve Him.

ਸਚੁ ਸਹਜੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮੀਤ ॥੨॥

sach sehaj sukh paaveh meet |2|

You shall be blessed with truth, intuition and peace, O my friend. ||2||

ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਅਤਿ ਭਾਰਾ ॥

saahib meraa at bhaaraa |

My Lord and Master is so very great.

ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪਨਹਾਰਾ ॥

khin meh thaap uthaapanahaaraa |

In an instant, He establishes and disestablishes.

ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥

tis bin avar na koee |

There is no other than Him.

ਜਨ ਕਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਸੋਈ ॥੩॥

jan kaa raakhaa soee |3|

He is the Saving Grace of His humble servant. ||3||

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਸੁਣੀਜੈ ॥

kar kirapaa aradaas suneejai |

Please take pity on me, and hear my prayer,

ਅਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਕਉ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੀਜੈ ॥

apane sevak kau darasan deejai |

that Your servant may behold the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan.

ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾਪੀ ਜਪੁ ਜਾਪੁ ॥

naanak jaapee jap jaap |

Nanak chants the Chant of the Lord,

ਸਭ ਤੇ ਊਚ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥੪॥੩੨॥੪੩॥

sabh te aooch jaa kaa parataap |4|32|43|

whose glory and radiance are the highest of all. ||4||32||43||
