ਭੂਤ ਏਕ ਇਹ ਦੇਗ ਮੈ ਕਹੁ ਕਾਜੀ ਕ︀ਯਾ ਨ︀ਯਾਇ ॥

bhoot ek ih deg mai kahu kaajee kayaa nayaae |

Listen, Quazi, there is a ghost in the cooking-vessel.

ਕਹੌ ਤੌ ਯਾ ਕੋ ਗਾਡਿਯੈ ਕਹੌ ਤੇ ਦੇਉ ਜਰਾਇ ॥੩੦॥

kahau tau yaa ko gaaddiyai kahau te deo jaraae |30|

With your order it should be either buried or put on fire.(30)

ਤਬ ਕਾਜੀ ਐਸੇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸੁਨੁ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਮਮ ਬੈਨ ॥

tab kaajee aise kahiyo sun sundar mam bain |

Then Quazi pronounced, ‘Listen, the pretty maid,

ਯਾ ਕੋ ਜੀਯਤਹਿ ਗਾਡਿਯੈ ਛੂਟੈ ਕਿਸੂ ਹਨੈ ਨ ॥੩੧॥

yaa ko jeeyateh gaaddiyai chhoottai kisoo hanai na |31|

‘It must be buried, otherwise, ifit is let loose, it may kill any body.’(31)

ਕੋਟਵਾਰ ਕਾਜੀ ਜਬੈ ਮੁਫਤੀ ਆਯਸੁ ਕੀਨ ॥

kottavaar kaajee jabai mufatee aayas keen |

Then the Quazi, the policeman and the priest gave their permission,

ਦੇਗ ਸਹਿਤ ਤਹ ਭੂਤ ਕਹਿ ਗਾਡਿ ਗੋਰਿ ਮਹਿ ਦੀਨ ॥੩੨॥

deg sahit teh bhoot keh gaadd gor meh deen |32|

And it was buried in the ground and the ghost along with the Cooking vessel was entombed.(32)

ਜੀਤਿ ਰਹਿਯੋ ਦਲ ਸਾਹ ਕੋ ਗਯੋ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਖਾਇ ॥

jeet rahiyo dal saah ko gayo khajaanaa khaae |

This way the Rani won over the heart of the Emperor,

ਸੋ ਛਲ ਸੌ ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਭੂਤ ਕਹਿ ਦੀਨੋ ਗੋਰਿ ਗਡਾਇ ॥੩੩॥

so chhal sau triy bhoot keh deeno gor gaddaae |33|

And with her trickery the woman got him declared as a ghost.(33)(1)
