ਘਰ ਘਰ ਚਾਚਰਿ ਖੇਲਹੀ ਘਰ ਘਰ ਗੈਯਹਿ ਗੀਤ ॥

ghar ghar chaachar khelahee ghar ghar gaiyeh geet |

The songs were recited in every home .

ਘਰ ਘਰ ਹੋਤ ਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗ ਧੁਨ ਘਰ ਘਰ ਨਚਤ ਸੰਗੀਤ ॥੭॥

ghar ghar hot mridang dhun ghar ghar nachat sangeet |7|

Every home had dances the beats of the drums.(7)

ਤਿਹ ਠਾ ਏਕ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ਨਟ ਸਭ ਨਟੂਅਨ ਕੋ ਰਾਇ ॥

tih tthaa ek prabeen natt sabh nattooan ko raae |

There came the acrobat, who seemed to be the Raja of all the acrobats,

ਮਦਨ ਛਪਾਏ ਕਾਢੀਐ ਮਦਨ ਕਿ ਨਵਰੰਗ ਰਾਇ ॥੮॥

madan chhapaae kaadteeai madan ki navarang raae |8|

And he, whose name was Navrang, was epitome of the Cupid.(8)
