Soohee, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਗਲ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਰਣੀ ਆਇਆ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੇ ॥

sagal tiaag gur saranee aaeaa raakhahu raakhanahaare |

Renouncing everything, I have come to the Guru's Sanctuary; save me, O my Savior Lord!

ਜਿਤੁ ਤੂ ਲਾਵਹਿ ਤਿਤੁ ਹਮ ਲਾਗਹ ਕਿਆ ਏਹਿ ਜੰਤ ਵਿਚਾਰੇ ॥੧॥

jit too laaveh tith ham laagah kiaa ehi jant vichaare |1|

Whatever You link me to, to that I am linked; what can this poor creature do? ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਜੀ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥

mere raam jee toon prabh antarajaamee |

O my Dear Lord God, You are the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਦਇਆਲਾ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਨਿਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

kar kirapaa guradev deaalaa gun gaavaa nit suaamee |1| rahaau |

Be Merciful to me, O Divine, Compassionate Guru, that I may constantly sing the Glorious Praises of my Lord and Master. ||1||Pause||

ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਭਉ ਤਰੀਐ ॥

aatth pehar prabh apanaa dhiaaeeai gur prasaad bhau tareeai |

Twenty-four hours a day, I meditate on my God; by Guru's Grace, I cross over the terrifying world-ocean.

ਆਪੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਹੋਈਐ ਸਭ ਰੇਣਾ ਜੀਵਤਿਆ ਇਉ ਮਰੀਐ ॥੨॥

aap tiaag hoeeai sabh renaa jeevatiaa iau mareeai |2|

Renouncing self-conceit, I have become the dust of all men's feet; in this way, I die, while I am still alive. ||2||

ਸਫਲ ਜਨਮੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਜਗ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਉ ਜਾਪੇ ॥

safal janam tis kaa jag bheetar saadhasang naau jaape |

How fruitful is the life of that being in this world, who chants the Name in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਜਿਸੁ ਦਇਆ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪੇ ॥੩॥

sagal manorath tis ke pooran jis deaa kare prabh aape |3|

All desires are fulfilled, for the one who is blessed with God's Kindness and Mercy. ||3||

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥

deen deaal kripaal prabh suaamee teree saran deaalaa |

O Merciful to the meek, Kind and Compassionate Lord God, I seek Your Sanctuary.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪਨਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਜੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਰਵਾਲਾ ॥੪॥੧੧॥੫੮॥

kar kirapaa apanaa naam deejai naanak saadh ravaalaa |4|11|58|

Take pity upon me, and bless me with Your Name. Nanak is the dust of the feet of the Holy. ||4||11||58||
