ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ik oankaar satigur prasaad |

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਬਿਸਰਤ ਨਾਹਿ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਹਰੀ ॥

bisarat naeh man te haree |

I do not forget the Lord in my mind.

ਅਬ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਬਲ ਭਈ ਆਨ ਬਿਖੈ ਜਰੀ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ab ih preet mahaa prabal bhee aan bikhai jaree | rahaau |

This love has now become very strong; it has burnt away other corruption. ||Pause||

ਬੂੰਦ ਕਹਾ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਮੀਨ ਰਹਤ ਨ ਘਰੀ ॥

boond kahaa tiaag chaatrik meen rehat na gharee |

How can the rainbird forsake the rain-drop? The fish cannot survive without water, even for an instant.

ਗੁਨ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਉਚਾਰੁ ਰਸਨਾ ਟੇਵ ਏਹ ਪਰੀ ॥੧॥

gun gopaal uchaar rasanaa ttev eeh paree |1|

My tongue chants the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the World; this has become part of my very nature. ||1||

ਮਹਾ ਨਾਦ ਕੁਰੰਕ ਮੋਹਿਓ ਬੇਧਿ ਤੀਖਨ ਸਰੀ ॥

mahaa naad kurank mohio bedh teekhan saree |

The deer is fascinated by the sound of the bell, and so it is shot with the sharp arrow.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਰਸਾਲ ਨਾਨਕ ਗਾਠਿ ਬਾਧਿ ਧਰੀ ॥੨॥੧॥੯॥

prabh charan kamal rasaal naanak gaatth baadh dharee |2|1|9|

God's Lotus Feet are the Source of Nectar; O Nanak, I am tied to them by a knot. ||2||1||9||
