SUNDARI STANZA

ਸੂਪਨਖਾ ਇਹ ਭਾਤਿ ਸੁਨੀ ਜਬ ॥

soopanakhaa ih bhaat sunee jab |

ਧਾਇ ਚਲੀ ਅਬਿਲੰਬ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਤਬ ॥

dhaae chalee abilanb triyaa tab |

When Surapanakha heard these words, she immediately started and reaching there,

ਕਾਮ ਸਰੂਪ ਕਲੇਵਰ ਜਾਨੈ ॥

kaam saroop kalevar jaanai |

ਰੂਪ ਅਨੂਪ ਤਿਹੂੰ ਪੁਰ ਮਾਨੈ ॥੩੩੨॥

roop anoop tihoon pur maanai |332|

She considered all of them as Cupid-incarnate and believed in her mind that no one equaled them in beauty.332.

ਧਾਇ ਕਹਯੋ ਰਘੁਰਾਇ ਭਏ ਤਿਹ ॥

dhaae kahayo raghuraae bhe tih |

ਜੈਸ ਨ੍ਰਿਲਾਜ ਕਹੈ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਕਿਹ ॥

jais nrilaaj kahai na koaoo kih |

Coming before Ram, without feeling ashamed, she said :

ਹਉ ਅਟਕੀ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਛਬਿ ਕੇ ਬਰ ॥

hau attakee tumaree chhab ke bar |

ਰੰਗ ਰੰਗੀ ਰੰਗਏ ਦ੍ਰਿਗ ਦੂਪਰ ॥੩੩੩॥

“I have halted here because of your beauty and my mind is dyed with the dye of your intoxicated eyes.”333.
