Raag Maajh, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਾ ਰੁਤਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਤੁਧੁ ਸਮਾਲੀ ॥

saa rut suhaavee jit tudh samaalee |

Sweet is that season when I remember You.

ਸੋ ਕੰਮੁ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਘਾਲੀ ॥

so kam suhelaa jo teree ghaalee |

Sublime is that work which is done for You.

ਸੋ ਰਿਦਾ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਤੂੰ ਵੁਠਾ ਸਭਨਾ ਕੇ ਦਾਤਾਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥

so ridaa suhelaa jit ridai toon vutthaa sabhanaa ke daataaraa jeeo |1|

Blessed is that heart in which You dwell, O Giver of all. ||1||

ਤੂੰ ਸਾਝਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਬਾਪੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥

toon saajhaa saahib baap hamaaraa |

You are the Universal Father of all, O my Lord and Master.

ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਅਖੁਟ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ॥

nau nidh terai akhutt bhanddaaraa |

Your nine treasures are an inexhaustible storehouse.

ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂੰ ਦੇਹਿ ਸੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਭਗਤੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥

jis toon dehi su tripat aghaavai soee bhagat tumaaraa jeeo |2|

Those unto whom You give are satisfied and fulfilled; they become Your devotees, Lord. ||2||

ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਆਸੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਬੈਠਾ ॥

sabh ko aasai teree baitthaa |

All place their hopes in You.

ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਵੁਠਾ ॥

ghatt ghatt antar toonhai vutthaa |

You dwell deep within each and every heart.

ਸਭੇ ਸਾਝੀਵਾਲ ਸਦਾਇਨਿ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਦਿਸਹਿ ਬਾਹਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥

sabhe saajheevaal sadaaein toon kisai na diseh baaharaa jeeo |3|

All share in Your Grace; none are beyond You. ||3||

ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਕਰਾਇਹਿ ॥

toon aape guramukh mukat karaaeihi |

You Yourself liberate the Gurmukhs;

ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਜਨਮਿ ਭਵਾਇਹਿ ॥

toon aape manamukh janam bhavaaeihi |

You Yourself consign the self-willed manmukhs to wander in reincarnation.

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਸਭੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਖੇਲੁ ਦਸਾਹਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੨॥੯॥

naanak daas terai balihaarai sabh teraa khel dasaaharaa jeeo |4|2|9|

Slave Nanak is a sacrifice to You; Your Entire Play is self-evident, Lord. ||4||2||9||
