Fourth Mehl:
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ ॥
har har naam nidhaan hai guramukh paaeaa jaae |
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is the greatest treasure. The Gurmukhs obtain it.
ਜਿਨ ਧੁਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਆਇ ॥
jin dhur masatak likhiaa tin satigur miliaa aae |
The True Guru comes to meet those who have such pre-ordained destiny written upon their foreheads.
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਵਸੀ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥
tan man seetal hoeaa saant vasee man aae |
Their bodies and minds are cooled and soothed; peace and tranquility come to dwell in their minds.
ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਚਉਦਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਦਾਲਦੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥
naanak har har chaudiaa sabh daalad dukh leh jaae |2|
O Nanak, chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, all poverty and pain is dispelled. ||2||
