ਮਨੁ ਪਰਬੋਧਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਇ ॥

man parabodhahu har kai naae |

Enlighten your mind with the Name of the Lord.

ਦਹ ਦਿਸਿ ਧਾਵਤ ਆਵੈ ਠਾਇ ॥

deh dis dhaavat aavai tthaae |

Having wandered around in the ten directions, it comes to its place of rest.

ਤਾ ਕਉ ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਕੋਇ ॥

taa kau bighan na laagai koe |

No obstacle stands in the way of one

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਰਿਦੈ ਬਸੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਇ ॥

jaa kai ridai basai har soe |

whose heart is filled with the Lord.

ਕਲਿ ਤਾਤੀ ਠਾਂਢਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥

kal taatee tthaandtaa har naau |

The Dark Age of Kali Yuga is so hot; the Lord's Name is soothing and cool.

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਉ ॥

simar simar sadaa sukh paau |

Remember, remember it in meditation, and obtain everlasting peace.

ਭਉ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਇ ਆਸ ॥

bhau binasai pooran hoe aas |

Your fear shall be dispelled, and your hopes shall be fulfilled.

ਭਗਤਿ ਭਾਇ ਆਤਮ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥

bhagat bhaae aatam paragaas |

By devotional worship and loving adoration, your soul shall be enlightened.

ਤਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਇ ਬਸੈ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥

tit ghar jaae basai abinaasee |

You shall go to that home, and live forever.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾਟੀ ਜਮ ਫਾਸੀ ॥੩॥

kahu naanak kaattee jam faasee |3|

Says Nanak, the noose of death is cut away. ||3||
