ਤੂੰ ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਦੇਵਾ ।

toon alakh apaar niranjan devaa |

Magnanimously, You, the formless, are the Unsustained Holy Spirit.

ਜਿਹ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਸਿਵ ਲਖੈ ਨ ਭੇਵਾ ।

jih brahamaa bisan siv lakhai na bhevaa |

Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva could not unravel your mystery.

ਤੁਮ ਨਾਥ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਗਹਰ ਗੰਭੀਰੇ ।

tum naath niranjan gehar ganbheere |

You, my Lord, are faultless and contemplative.

ਤੁਮ ਚਰਨਨਿ ਸੋਂ ਬਾਂਧੇ ਧੀਰੇ ।

tum charanan son baandhe dheere |

With the touch of Your feet, grant us endurance,

ਅਬ ਗਹਿ ਪਕਰਿਓ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ ।

ab geh pakario tumaraa darabaaraa |

As I have sought the protection of Your Court.

ਜਿਉਂ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਤਿਉਂ ਲੇਹੁ ਸੁਧਾਰਾ ।

jiaun jaanahu tiaun lehu sudhaaraa |

What ever may be the means, please regenerate us,

ਹਮ ਕਾਮੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੀ ਅਤਿ ਕੂੜਿਆਰੇ ।

ham kaamee krodhee at koorriaare |

The ones sunk in lust, avarice, and falsehood.

ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਬਖਸਨਹਾਰੇ ।

tum hee tthaakur bakhasanahaare |

You, my Master, are the exonerator,

ਨਹੀਂ ਕੋਈ ਤੁਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ।

naheen koee tum bin avar hamaaraa |

And without You none empathizes with us,

ਜੋ ਕਰਿ ਹੈ ਹਮਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰਾ ।

jo kar hai hamaree pratipaaraa |

To provide us with sustenance.

ਤੁਮ ਅਗਮ ਅਡੋਲ ਅਤੋਲ ਨਿਰਾਲੇ ।

tum agam addol atol niraale |

You are profound, unperturbed, unparallel and unique.

ਸਭ ਜਗ ਕੀ ਕਰਿਹੋ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ ।

sabh jag kee kariho pratipaale |

The whole universe is provided livelihood by You.

ਜਲ ਥਲ ਮਹੀਅਲ ਹੁਕਮ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ।

jal thal maheeal hukam tumaaraa |

Your order predominates the land, water and void.

ਤੁਮ ਕਉ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਤਰਿਓ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ।

tum kau simar tario sansaaraa |

And by reflecting upon You, whole mankind swims across.

ਇਉਂ ਕਰਿ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਦਾਸ ਪੁਕਾਰਾ ।

eiaun kar hai guradaas pukaaraa |

And thus exclaimed Gurdas;

ਹੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮੁਹਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਉਬਾਰਾ ।੨੫।

he satigur muhi lehu ubaaraa |25|

O my True Guru, You grant me redemption.
